NBA veteran point guard Rajon Rondo allegedly threatened his former partner and mother of his two kids with a gun at her house in Louisville, prompting her to file an emergency protective order (EPO) against him.

According to TMZ Sports, Ashley Bachelor, 36, filed for an EPO last week for her and her son and daughter's protection.

Bachelor claims Rondo was playing video games with his son on May 11. When she requested that the boy divide laundry, Rajon became furious and pulled the game console from the wall in front of the child.

Rajon allegedly continued his aggressive actions, destroying everything from a teacup to exterior lighting and trash cans, according to Bachelor.

Rajon Threatens To Kill Ashley

She claims that the kids were disturbed after seeing their father lose control, so she attempted to "deescalate" the situation. But Rajon replied with a death threat, allegedly saying, "You're dead."

According to Bachelor, Rondo briefly left the house before returning approximately 15 minutes later and allegedly going near the back door and pounding the window with his gun.

Bachelor states that she had no clue what was happening and approached the door from the inside to check. Rondo was seen with the weapon, and she pleaded for him to stop as he was frightening her. Rondo, she claims, ignored her and instead shouted, "Go get my f**king son!"

Ashley called former interim Louisville Metro Police Chief Yvette Gentry, who came to the residence. However, Bachelor claimed that Rondo would not let Gentry in. The lady claimed she locked herself inside the house with the children, and then Gentry later informed her that Rondo had left and that she had his gun, as per an ESPN report based on an obtained copy of the EPO.

NBA Investigates the Incident

On Friday in Louisville, Kentucky, Bachelor requested EPO against Rondo, who has a history of "volatile, erratic, and explosive behavior." Later that day, the order was granted.

Authorities ordered Rondo to stay at least 500 feet away from his former partner and the kids and hand over any firearms he may have to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

NBA spokesman Mike Bass told ESPN that the league is aware of the reported incident and is "gathering more information." As of present writing, Rondo's camp has not yet issued any statement regarding the incident.

In 2020, Rondo was seen on camera reportedly nudging a woman before his girlfriend Toktam Jorshari assaulted her, according to Complex. The fight, as per Jorshari, was over a parking spot, and the woman parked her car too near to Rondo's Rolls Royce. Subsequently, Rajon Rondo's lawsuit over the incident was $1 million, with his legal team claiming he did nothing wrong by intervening in the brawl.

The two-time champion signed a one-year agreement with the Los Angeles Lakers this season, his 16th year in the NBA. Though, Rondo was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in January as part of a three-player deal that also included the New York Knicks. He played 21 games for the Cavs and averaged 6.2 points and 4.9 assists.
