Respawn Entertainment and Entertainment Arts have opened registration for Titanfall beta testing.
Titanfall, one of the most anticipated games of 2014, is expected to release next month and developers Respawn Entertainment and Entertainment Arts, EA, are accepting registrations from players who are interested in trying out the beta version of the game on PCs and Xbox One. The beta begins Friday and registered gamers will be notified via email about selection by midnight Feb. 17.
The first-person shooter game is exclusive to Microsoft gaming consoles and PC users will need an Origin ID to play the man-versus-machine title. The Titanfall beta trailer's description says that the game will feature two maps and three Titanfall modes, including newly announced "Last Titan Standing" mode.
"The Titanfall beta is not final code and represents a small slice of the game's content. Testing the game before release helps us create a better final product for our fans," Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella said in a tweet.
Pre-orders for Titanfall Collectors Edition have begun, but the game won't be available until next month. PC and Xbox One users can order the game for $249.99, starting March 11 in North America, and March 13 in Europe. The Xbox 360 owners will have to wait as EA announced last week that the final version is undergoing some final touches. Titanfall for Xbox 360 is set for a full release in North America on March 25, and Europe will get it on March 28.
The beta registration is not tied to any pre-orders. Gamers can check out the game first hand without any compulsions to buy, if you are lucky enough to be selected.
The last date to get yourselves registered for the Titanfall beta game play is Saturday, February 15 till 11 a.m. AEDT.
