Ginni Thomas, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas' wife, was found to have a hand in former United States President Donald Trump's attempt to overturn his 2020 election loss against Joe Biden in newly revealed emails.

She allegedly urged Arizona lawmakers to attempt to reverse Biden's 2020 presidential win by picking a "clean slate of Electors." The emails were reportedly sent by the justice's wife to a pair of lawmakers on Nov. 9, 2020, six days after the presidential elections.

What Ginni Thomas Did

While Thomas did not directly name Biden or the former president, she called on Arizona House Speaker Russel Bowers and 2020 House elections committee member Shawnna Bolick to "fight back against fraud" and "stand strong in the face of political and media pressure."

Furthermore, she said in one email that they should reflect on the "awesome authority" that was granted to them by the Constitution. Thomas also urged them to take immediate action to ensure that there was a clean slate of Electors that would handle the counting of votes, as per the New York Post.

The emails were sent through freeroots.com, which allows political organizations to produce email campaigns. The Supreme Court Justice's wife sent the emails from "Ginni Thomas" and had the subject line "Please do your Constitutional duty!"

The messages showed that Thomas, who is known to be a staunch supporter of former President Trump, was more deeply involved in the latter's effort to overturn Democrat Biden's win than was previously reported. Her emails showed that she had a hand in Trump's extraordinary scheme to keep himself in office by substituting the will of legislatures for the will of voters.

According to the Washington Post, Thomas' actions underline concerns of potential conflicts of interest that her husband has already faced before in deciding cases related to attempts to overturn the 2020 elections. The questions intensified in March when text messages revealed that Thomas pressed Mark Meadows to help reverse the election.

Attempts To Overturn 2020 Elections

The Supreme Court Justice's wife's name also appeared on an email that was sent to two representatives on Dec. 13, the day before members of the electoral college met to cast their votes and seal Biden's presidential win. In it, she said that they should consider what would happen to the United States if they did not stand up and lead.

The email also included a link to a video that showed a man delivering a message that was meant for swing-state lawmakers, urging them to "put things right" and "not give in to cowardice." The speaker, who was not identified in the video, said, "You have only hours to act."

Thomas has been critical of the ongoing congressional investigation looking into the Jan. 6 violence, including signing onto a letter to House Republicans calling for the expulsion of Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. Furthermore, the Supreme Court Justice's wife acknowledged that she attended the Jan. 6 "Stop the Steal" rally on the Ellipse but said that she left prior to Trump speaking and his supporters storming the Capitol building, the Associated Press reported.
