Thomas Markle, the Duchess of Sussex's father, has been rushed to hospital after having a stroke. He was taken to the hospital early Tuesday morning. Karl Larsen, who co-owns a YouTube channel with Thomas Markle, verified the news.

Thomas Markle Rushed to Hospital Days Before Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Last month, Thomas Markle, 77, announced plans to visit the UK in June for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in the hopes of visiting his estranged daughter and his grandkids, Archie and Lilibet, whom he has never seen. Thomas Markle also chastised Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for not taking Archie and Lilibet with them when they visited the Queen before competing in the Invictus Games in the Netherlands last month.

Thomas Markle fabricated paparazzi images of himself in the days leading up to the couple's wedding in 2018. He was eventually unable to attend the wedding due to heart surgery, and his relationship with the Sussexes grew increasingly strained. A letter he wrote to his daughter became the focus of a contentious legal fight. In addition, Thomas Markle has stated that he hopes to see Meghan and her future husband in court as part of a defamation action launched by the duchess's half-sister.

In court filings, she claims Meghan Markle lied about her during the Sussexes' Oprah Winfrey appearance and in the Finding Freedom memoir. Samantha Markle said that this subjected her to global humiliation, embarrassment, and contempt, according to Sky.

Thomas Markle hasn't seen his royal daughter in years, although she has given countless TV interviews about her marriage to Prince Harry since joining The Firm. It's thought he hasn't met his grandkids, Archie and Lilibet.

He's also made several disparaging remarks about Prince Harry. The 77-year-old, who is divorced from Meghan Markle's mother Doria, was intending to visit the UK in the coming days to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Thomas Markle Won't See Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's Children

In an interview with GB News, he stated that he hoped to spend time with the royals, particularly Prince Charles. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will also be in the UK for the festivities, accompanied by their children Archie and Lilibet. Lili, called after her great-childhood grandmother's nickname, will be visiting her father's country for the first time, as per Mirror.

In February 2019, Thomas Markle delivered the Mail on Sunday a letter reportedly written by Meghan, in which she accused him of lying about his attempts to contact her and falsely claimed she never gave him money. People claimed at the time that Meghan had urged her father to stop speaking to the media.

In January 2021, Thomas Markle informed The Sun that he is working on a documentary to find out what went wrong in his relationship with his daughter. That same month, Thomas stated that a letter Meghan wrote him following her wedding signed the end of their relationship.

Meghan called out her father during her and Prince Harry's explosive appearance with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021. Meghan said during the meeting that her father lied to her about talking to British media. Thomas recently stated his support for Meghan's half-sister, Samantha Markle, in her defamation case against the monarchy. "I haven't met them face to face or my grandkids, so I'd be glad to come to court and talk and defend my oldest daughter," Thomas said in a March 2022 YouTube video. Insider reported.
