The second day of the platinum jubilee weekend, which began on Thursday with the Queen's birthday parade, is Friday, June 3.

While thousands of people gathered to see troops, musicians, and horses march along The Mall to Buckingham Palace for the Trooping the Colour ceremony, today's proceedings are likely to be considerably quieter and more intimate.

Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Reunites the Royal Family

A Thanksgiving Service commemorating the Queen's 70-year reign will be held at St. Paul's Cathedral, bringing most members of the royal family together for the first time since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding in 2018.

The Duke of York, however, will no longer attend the service after testing positive for Covid-19, according to Buckingham Palace on Thursday. Prince Andrew was scheduled to attend the ceremony with the rest of the royal family, making only his second public appearance since settling the sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by Virginia Giuffre.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still slated to attend the Thanksgiving Day Service. Their appearance in the UK marks their first trip to British territory with their son Archie and months-old daughter Lilibet since they stepped down from royal responsibilities in 2020.

The Queen is anticipated to attend the service, however, Buckingham Palace has stated that her attendance at official jubilee activities will not be confirmed until the day of the event owing to her ongoing episodic mobility issues. With the assistance of a walking stick, she appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for Thursday's procession. For the first time, Great Paul, the country's largest church bell, will be rung for a royal event during the service, according to Independent.

They arrived in the United Kingdom. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are anticipated to gather with the older royals on Friday for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee. The couple, who were not on the balcony for Trooping The Colour on Thursday, will attend a thanksgiving ceremony at St. Paul's Cathedral on Friday morning as part of Queen Elizabeth's ongoing Platinum Jubilee festivities celebrating her 70 years on the throne.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in the United Kingdom this week to honor the queen and were spotted celebrating with members of the royal family during the Trooping the Colour event. They were not allowed on the balcony, which was reserved for working senior royals. Despite not being on the balcony, both Harry and Meghan were captured on tape shushing a few younger royals in a viral moment, according to Fox News.

Prince Louis Caught Viewers' Attention

Meanwhile, royal fans were left in stitches when Prince Louis' responses to the flyover stole the show. During the occasion, which kicked off four days of celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the four-year-old could be seen monetarily cupping his ears as deafening jets blasted overhead.

Previously, he could be seen waving at the jets and conversing with the Queen during the spectacular spectacle. He looked to yawn at one point while his mother murmured in his ear before turning to his great-grandmother to ask a question. His siblings, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte, were spotted beaming with delight as they were joined by their mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, and father, Prince William.

Thousands of royal enthusiasts on The Mall in front of the palace erupted in cries of "hooray" as the Royals clustered together on the balcony. As the plane neared, the Queen could be seen smiling and looking forward while wearing sunglasses.

Princess Charlotte was spotted earlier in the day restraining Louis, four, at the Trooping the Colour procession. Prince Louis' passionate waving grabbed his elder sister's attention after he waved to the crowd from his place between his two older siblings. Princess Charlotte was spotted gently placing her hand on his arm, probably to chill his crowd-pleasing responsibilities, as per Mirror.
