'Veep' Star Julia Louis-Dreyfus Dines With Vice President Biden At State Dinner

"Veep" actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus spent some time with Vice President Joe Biden at the White House State Dinner on Tuesday night, NBC News reported.

Louis-Dreyfus uploaded a picture of the two to her Twitter account, calling the night "an unforgettable evening" and thanking Biden, President Barack Obama, and Michelle Obama.

According to USA TODAY, a reporter asked her what the best part of the dinner was, to which she responded "Look who I'm sitting next to."

Biden then interjected, saying "Hey, stop stop screwin' around, she's my date," before adding, "Just kidding!"

However, the actress' real date was her father, Gerard Louis-Dreyfus.

This is not the first time the former "Seinfeld" star has met with the vice president. In April, she visited his office and had lunch with him.

"I came to have lunch with Vice President Joe Biden and I surprised him by sitting at his desk," she said after the first meeting. "So he thought he'd just ask my advice on some various briefs he had to deal with and I was happy to give him my advice which he paid no attention to whatsoever, which is why he's such a wise Vice President."

The third season of "Veep" premieres on HBO on April 6.

Additionally, other A-list celebrities like actress Mindy Kaling and actor Bradley Cooper attended the dinner as well.
