Kelly Clarkson has revealed who was instrumental in her painful divorce. On her TV show, 'The Kelly Clarkson Show,' the singer discussed her divorce.

Clarkson asked 'The Chicks,' who have all gone through divorces, what helped them get through their terrible times. Working through concerns in music may be therapeutic, but other components might aid in difficult times, according to Clarkson.

Kelly Clarkson Shares the Importance of Female Friendship

Kelly Clarkson sat down with fellow singers The Chicks on Monday's episode of the Kelly Clarkson Show to discuss the group's forthcoming tour. The singer asked the Chicks, Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, and Emily Strayer, about their songwriting process and "how difficult it is to write so frankly and honestly while navigating their children" and people close to them throughout the conversation.

"There's no way around it. Writing falsely doesn't work. You have to be real," Emily replied. "The more specific you are, the more universal it is to other people," she explains, as per The Sun.

Kelly Clarkson discussed her divorce on the September 2020 debut of The Kelly Clarkson Show. In her divorce struggle, 'The Voice' coach won a major victory. The court, in her ongoing divorce, maintained her prenuptial agreement, which is a huge issue. Kelly Clarkson was battling for property and money she had acquired before she married Brandon Blackstock, and millions of dollars were on the line.

Per The Blast, the singer discussed her transition from her thirties to her forties as a single woman. The TV star shared her enthusiasm for this new chapter in her life in March.

Kelly Clarkson- Brandon Blackstock Divorce

After nearly seven years of marriage, Clarkson filed for divorce from then-husband Brandon Blackstock in June 2020, claiming irreconcilable differences as the basis for the divorce. A labor disagreement over Clarkson's management fees under Blackstock's firm, as well as a custody struggle over their two children, daughter River and son Remington, have marred the former couple's divorce.

In November 2020, Clarkson was granted primary custody of the children. The platinum-selling pop artist stated that her friendships helped her get through her divorce from Blackstock. Clarkson was granted primary custody of her children, River, 7, and Remington, 6, whom she shares with Blackstock. Her ex-husband, who lives in Montana, will have custody of the children once a month. The former couple's Montana property was also given to the 'American Idol' alum.

After nearly two years in court, the duo reached an agreement in March. Clarkson consented to pay $45,601 in child support every month until River and Remington reach the age of 18, graduate from high school, or otherwise become self-sufficient. She was also ordered to pay $115,000 a month in spousal support to her ex-husband until January 2024, as well as a one-time, tax-free sum of $1,326,161.

While Blackstock was permitted to reside in the couple's Montana home, which they had fought over for months, he promised to pay roughly $12,000 monthly and cover all utilities until June.

Clarkson made another significant life change in the midst of her tumultuous divorce. In February, she filed a motion to officially alter her name to Kelly Brianne, claiming that using her first and middle names "more fully reflects who I am," according to court documents. The motion was approved one month later, US Magazine reported.
