Arsenal (17-4-4) sits in second-place in the Premier League with 55 points, two points behind No. 1 Chelsea. After a 5-1 rout on Saturday to Liverpool, Arsenal has a chance to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League with a win over United.
"It's a good opportunity to respond straight away and that is what we want to do," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said, via IB Times. "I can talk and talk and talk, [but] it is action that will decide that. This group, you would never question their professionalism. Maybe they wanted to do so well [against Liverpool] that they were a bit too cautious, I don't know. ...
"Every defeat creates a difficult moment, [but] it could have been worse. After Aston Villa, nobody would have put us in the position we are in today. So we have to believe that not everything is perfect - because no, it is not. But we also have to put everything into perspective."
United (12-5-8), meanwhile, sits at No. 7 in the standings after a loss to Stoke City on Feb. 1 and a draw against Fulham on Sunday. Despite the subpar start to the season, United boss David Moyes is confident his club can straighten things out.
"You just continue doing the right things, we're doing the right things," said Moyes. "We just need to keep going because our luck will change, there's no doubt about that."
