Amber Heard said she stands by "every word" of her testimony in an interview that aired Tuesday, nearly two weeks after Johnny Depp won his defamation case against her.
Johnny Depp was granted $10.35 million in damages by a Virginia jury, dismissing Amber Heard's accusations that he physically and sexually mistreated her. In her countersuit, the jury awarded Heard $2 million, concluding that Johnny Depp had defamed her through his attorney.
Amber Heard Slams Johnny Depp, Atty. Camille Vasquez
In her first interview since the judgment, she told Savannah Guthrie on the "Today" show, "Of course, until my dying day, I will stand by every word of my testimony." The actress stated the case was about "the ability to speak truth to power," despite Guthrie's assertion that the trial was about whether she had been truthful.
Per Fox News, the 'Aquaman' actress slammed the proceedings' public aspect, which was broadcast live on many networks. Heard was constantly mocked on Twitter and TikTok.
On her way inside the Fairfax County Courthouse, she said she saw hundreds of Johnny Depp followers waving posters that said, "burn the witch and death to Amber." When it was her turn to testify, she said she walked into the witness box and saw Johnny Depp supporters.
"I have never felt more removed from my own humanity. I felt less than human," she said during the interview.
In her first interview after her humiliating courtroom loss, Amber Heard not only attacked ex-husband Johnny Depp but also his now-celebrity attorney Camille Vasquez. When Savannah Guthrie of NBC News questioned about Camille Vasquez's repeated assertion that the actress gave "the performance of her life" and was only acting in her fiery courtroom statement, Heard, 36, expressed apparent scorn.
When Guthrie directly questioned if she believed she lost because her ex-husband "just had better attorneys" than her, Amber Heard only offered backhanded praise. Vasquez's triumphant performance during the tumultuous six-week trial cemented her status as an unexpected star and a newly promoted partner in her company, as per NY Post.
She had both begun and ended her argument by implying that the actress would be only acting on the witness stand. Instead, Amber Heard blamed her defeat on social media publicity and the exclusion of "very critical pieces of evidence" from the trial.
Her remarks came on the second day of video from her "wide-ranging sitdown" with NBC, which was published ahead of the special on Friday Vasquez mocked similar justifications in her own interviews last week, claiming that Heard was defeated merely because attorneys "used her words against her."

Johnny Depp Can Sue Amber Heard Again
After doubling down on accusations that he beat her in a new appearance on the Today program, Amber Heard has opened the way for Johnny Depp to sue her once more, with an expert telling DailyMail.com that her newest remarks are grounds for a third case.

Nicole Haff, an entertainment lawyer at Romano Law in New York, has revealed exclusively to DailyMail.com how Amber Heard's words might backfire - and lead to her being sued again by the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor.
