Jamie Spears's father has accused her of waging a social media smear campaign against him and wants her to testify under oath about her accusations that he assaulted her while acting as her conservator.

Jamie Spear filed court documents on Friday, alleging that his newly-emancipated daughter has been constantly destroying his name on Instagram and wants to defame him further in her upcoming biography. Britney abruptly shut her Instagram account earlier this week after thrilling followers with updates from her star-studded wedding.

Jamie Wants Britney Spears To Be Deposed Under Oath

Jamie demands to be deposed under oath about some of the charges, notably her claim that he denied her pain medicine and forced her to provide eight vials of blood for medical care. The court filings acquired by TMZ are the latest in an ongoing legal battle between the two.

It comes seven months after Britney Spear was ultimately released from the contentious legal conservatorship held over her by her father and a court-appointed guardian for years. Britney had been unrelenting in her public criticism of her family, who had not been invited to the wedding.

Instead, she partied with Paris Hilton, Madonna, Selena Gomez, and Donatella Versace. Britney's accusations that her father misused conservatorship restrictions and stole from her when he was meant to be handling her funds are at the heart of the continuing court struggle.

Jamie Spear requested a judge in December last year, after the conservatorship was terminated, to compel Britney Spear to continue paying his legal bills. Britney's lawyer termed the request "shameful."

Jamie has yet to be questioned in connection with the conservatorship abuse claims. Britney's attorney, Mathew Rosengart, stated in court documents last month that she needs to "stop hiding," and that he would be happy to depose Spears in any city in any nation, including his own Louisiana, according to Daily Mail.

The court documents were filed only one week after Britney, 40, disabled her Instagram account on Thursday - exactly one week after the pop diva married long-term partner Sam Asghari in a modest but opulent ceremony at her Thousand Oaks home on June 9.

Notably absent from the wedding were her father and mother, Lynne Spears, who did not get invitations due to their spat with the singer over her conservatorship, which was abolished in November 2021, as per New York Post.

Britney Spears' Lawyer Previously Accused Jamie of Hiding From Deposition

Britney Spear, 40, was supposedly barred from marrying or having children during the 13-year dictatorship. She and Asghari announced in early April that they were expecting a "miracle baby," but miscarried in May.

Meanwhile, the legal teams of both parties appear to be at odds over the scheduling of depositions. Last month, Britney's lawyer, Rosengart, publicly chastised Jamie for allegedly refusing to take a deposition himself. However, on Jan. 26, 2022, the email is included in the latest legal document, implying Jamie would be willing to be deposed provided Britney could be deposed the same week.

In court filings acquired by Page Six in May, Rosengart stated that Jamie was running and hiding from his deposition and accounting for his misdeeds - under oath - as required by law.

However, in his most recent filing, Weingarten included a copy of an email received on Jan. 26, 2022, in which the attorney informed Rosengart's company that Jamie would agree to be deposed if they could agree on a date to depose Britney that same week.

On March 2, 2022, Rosengart reacted by refusing Weingarten's request to depose Britney, stating that they want to continue to shield our client from additional suffering and violence.

Jamie's attorney claimed Thursday that they are seeking the Court to intervene because Britney's counsel has "refused to give dates for Britney's deposition and has stated Britney will not sit for a deposition absent a court order (and probably not even then)." Jamie was removed from Britney's conservatorship on September 29, 2021, after 13 years of allegedly misusing her cash and spying on her, Page Six reported.
