Blaming Putin's price hike has just backfired on President Joe Biden, who still uses that excuse to escape responsibility for the energy crisis.
Some states had started measures to arrest soaring gas prices which the administration had created from day one when Joe Biden took office.
Americans Disapproves Biden's Performance
Despite attempts by the White House to shift blame for high fuel prices caused by Russia is not working, and only one in ten voters highly doubt it, reported RT.
A Rasmussen poll posted last Tuesday shows a scanty 11% believe what the US leader says, and they blame him and no one else.
Of the poll respondents, 52% pointed out that the White House energy policy is ineffective compared to extremely expensive fuel.
No attempt to solve or take responsibility from the Democrats to the Oval Office instead of using their official narrative to deflect fault is not working, cited Mass News.
Another reason the gas price hike happened is that oil companies are the problem, about 29% buy this. They allege that the oil industry is using the current geopolitical instability as an excuse to hike up extremely.
The blame game by the president is getting old, and he is using Putin as his excuse, other reasons blamed are oil and gas companies are responsible for high prices at the pump. He added these companies make more money as a result.
He accused them of not drilling enough for oil, but it was his office that was actively stopping active drilling, noted Olxpraca.
US Stops Imports of Russian Gas, Oil
During March, Moscow had been providing 2% of oil. The US is also a net gas exporter, contradicting the desperate claims of Putin's price hike to justify it as Russia's fault.
Gas prices will be a problem for Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections; in a Tuesday poll, 92% of voters saw rising gas, home heating oil, and other fuel prices as a severe issue, with 68 percent calling the problem very critical.
With an ongoing recession before the midterm elections in November, the Democratic Party will face a bloodbath. The president's party is the cause of the economic problems, and the GOP might control Congress and the Senate.
Poll numbers show that 27% of potential voters gave Biden either excellent or good during Tuesday's poll, after a five-point drop starting in December 2021.
Another 57% called him the least effective president, and three-quarters of Americans called the economy worse than before January 20. A small majority revealed that 11% think it is okay, and another left undecided.
Democrats Blame Russia
No one believes what Biden or any Democrat say that it's Russia's fault as their narrative, which has fallen on its face, needs some creativity.
The former treasury secretary Larry Summers blamed the Republicans who doubt what the Dems are pushing via the committee investigating the January 6 Capitol riot as their new reason why inflation is very high.
In the last forty years, the economy had never dipped as it did due to Joe Biden, when Trump left office, the economy had done well until January 20.
Putin's price hike has failed to be the new scapegoat by the White House, and a mere 11% believe it shows this narrative has been debunked.
