Along the South African coast has a reputation where monstrous sharks are known to lurk waiting for victims. Many of these victims are swimmers and fishermen who are attacked with regularity. Locals and tourists fear the hotspots' reputations and avoid getting too close to that hazardous area.
Regular Sharks in South African Coastline
On one occasion, a humongous great white shark was seen leaping out of the sea close to a fishing boat, and others were not so lucky, getting mangled or slain by the massive predator, reported Daily Star.
A recent incident told of a man getting badly mauled to death in front of many people; who couldn't stop the deadly attack. The shark was waiting in the area when its victim was at Sanctuary Beach in Plettenberg Bay; when the killer struck, cited Pop Star One.
After witnesses notified water authorities, National Sea Rescue sent out two boats to save the man, but he was proclaimed dead at the scene, noted Mirror UK.
In the aftermath of the terrible incident, a representative of the National Sea Rescue team asked boating enthusiasts and beachgoers to be more careful.
The danger of a great white cannot be understated as these monstrous sharks can injure and kill humans who get close to their environment on the South African coast.
Great White Shark Drags Tourist Underwater
One incident occurred in one of the areas lining the coast of South Africa where a tourist got dragged deep into the water by a shark suspected to be a great white. The tourist was fishing in a Nature's Valley holiday resort and was able to survive the deadly encounter with a predator.
The fisherman identified as Theodore Prinsloo cannot imagine that something like that would happen to him. It got the fish caught on the line, and he was dragged about 50 meters into the sea by a great white. Locals warned him to be careful of a monster shark in the area that is 16-footer great white, which was stalking the area near his deadly encounter.
A day later, he remembered the warning the locals gave and chose to stay near some rocks, yet caution did not work, and he could not prevent getting dragged off.
Later, Station Commander Marc Rodgers commented on the shark-related incident. After 20 minutes, Prinsloo caught an eight- to nine-kilogram mussel cracker hooked on a flotation buoy; attached to a spear gun.
At this time, the shark snatched up the fish and took the man up to 50 meters from the shore to the deep sea; but he got away and swam back to the beach hurriedly. He was relatively unharmed but more shaken by the experience.
The South African Coast is where many monstrous sharks stay and have attacked people who weren't careful enough. Great white sharks call this stretch of coast home, so humans must respect it.
