The US has been coordinating clandestine global proxy wars in secret documents obtained from the US government, proving it has a hand in these uprisings. These 23 secret wars presented as counter-terrorism operations fought worldwide.
A source, The Intercept, published an article last Friday, claiming the only now seen papers reveal activities of Washington to influence local politics abroad.
US Proxy Wars Intends To Keep Hegemonic Influence
It exposes a top-secret authority identified as '127e' that has been causing tumult since 2017 by starting 23 proxy wars, reported RT.
The Intercept obtained the documents via the Freedom of Information Act, alleging the papers are proof of the agenda of at least 14 '127e programs' conducted actively in locations like the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions way back in 2020.
The Pentagon started 23 of them under the program from 2017 to 2020 that was kept from US taxpayers, costing $310 million in all, noted the Mass News.
The 127e program is one of several largely unheard-of powers given to the Defense Department by Congress over the past 20 years.
It allows US commandos to do counter-terror operations with anyone aligned with the Pentagon but under no control by the government. Legitimized the US rights to provide weapons, training, and information to any army abroad is alleged by these secret documents.
This differs from most traditional foreign assistance programs. Instead, surrogate forces are to follow the US government to the letter. It is like the clandestine global proxy wars are the same in Ukraine has a chosen representative and adjuncts to the White House and Pentagon army but not American forces.
Due to the highly secretive nature of these operations, which are not known to most members of government. Besides where the US military is dispatched, nothing else is known about other relevant details that are kept in the dark.
Congress, State Officials Receives No Report of Proxy Wars
Because 127e doesn't at all permit any supervision or input from foreign affairs officials, detractors of the programs warn that it could lead to unpredicted military buildup and implicate the US in over a dozen global conflicts.
One observation by the outlet remarks on the recent batch of papers that reveal the secrecy of the 127e program, which is not common knowledge to the public and Congress. No one has any clue of what is happening to the covert program.
One US government official who is privy to the program asks not to be identified due to the topic's sensitive nature. The Intercept was informed it's so undisclosed that congressional staffers are not allowed access to such documents, even those who ask will are not authorized.
Overall, the design of 127e is to keep it covert and keep any oversight or control by any agency in the government randomly.
Stephen Semler, a co-founder of a US foreign policy think tank, explained to the outlet how it works.
Pentagon officials don't like total supervision and do not tolerate any input from bureaus or Congress especially. Autonomy with no oversight is what they want, and it's normal to bypass any relevant supervision. Semler argued that it should be controlled, a sneaky way to promote continual conflicts.
The Intercept's story on the clandestine global proxy wars proved by secret documents kept by a super-secret cadre of the US government is a cause for worry that wars may never end.
