President Biden's Monday speech honoring the passing of a bipartisan gun bill was stopped by the parent of a child who died in a horrific shooting at a Parkland, Florida, school.

Manuel Oliver, who tweeted disapproval of the event in advance, was removed after shouting during Biden's speech. According to Oliver's Twitter bio, Joaquin Oliver, one of the victims of the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School massacre in 2018, is his son.

Biden's Gun Control Speech Interrupted

It's unclear exactly what Oliver said at the gathering, which took place on the White House's South Lawn. When Oliver interrupted Biden during his speech, Biden paused and asked Oliver to stop before removing him.

Due to the rigorous security measures in place at the White House, protesters or hecklers are uncommon during presidential speeches. In 2006, a protester who disrupted a meeting between former presidents George W. Bush and Hu Jintao was charged with crimes.

Numerous members of Congress, including Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, who led negotiations on the side of the Republicans, were present at the ceremony on Monday. Cornyn was able to overcome the filibuster threshold in the Senate by securing the support of 15 Republican senators in total, Fox News reported.

Following the killing at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, Biden signed the law last month, including certain safety measures to stop school shootings. The Biden administration applauds the effort as a step toward tighter gun rules, but some gun control supporters claim it is insufficient to stop mass massacres. On Monday, Biden hosted a ceremony to mark the law's passage.

Oliver interrupted Biden as he claimed that the legislation proves that despite the naysayers, we can make substantial progress in dealing with gun violence during his speech. Oliver appeared to be criticizing the legislation for not doing enough to reduce gun violence, as per Newsweek via MSN.

POTUS' Series of Gaffes

About three minutes after being heckled by gun control activist Manuel Oliver, whose 17-year-old son Joaquin was killed in the Parkland shooting, Biden fumbled the date. Oliver persuaded Biden to establish an internal office for gun control.

Biden, who turns 80 on Nov. 20, frequently makes mistakes, tells untrue stories, or pronounces words incorrectly. He has explained some of the mistakes as being caused by a childhood stammer, but the errors frequently prompt Republicans, especially, to question his suitability for the government.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, tweeted on Friday that the person in control of the teleprompter is the real president. Immediately after Biden remarked, "Repeat the line," during planned remarks, the White House denied that he had accidentally read from stage directions.

Some of Biden's errors go beyond possibly misreading a prompter; for example, he has called his vice president, Kamala Harris, "President Harris" at least four times.

To demonstrate his passion for passenger rail, Biden has recounted a historically improbable story about a former Amtrak conductor at least seven times since taking office. Also, in September, Biden revealed to a crowd in Idaho that the Boise Cascade lumber and wood products company had made him a first employment offer. The business claimed to be unaware of it and that Biden had never previously expressed interest in relocating there.

There is also no proof that Biden was ever detained during the civil rights protests, as he claimed in January to students at historically black colleges in Atlanta.

During the Naval Academy's graduation ceremony in May, Biden revealed that the late Sen. J. Caleb Boggs had appointed him to the military academy in 1965. (R-Del.). The Boggs archives were searched, but no proof of the claim could be found. As more Democrats question whether he should run for reelection, Biden's critics frequently charge that he is mentally deteriorating, according to the New York Post.
