One of the three headliners for the Rolling Loud Miami music event the next weekend won't be performing at Hard Rock Stadium.

The three-day festival's organizers, Rolling Loud, said Sunday that Kanye West will no longer perform on Friday for the opening day due to "circumstances outside of our control."

Kanye West Exits Rolling Loud

In place of West, Future and Kendrick Lamar, who were supposed to headline on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, will perform on stage alongside Kid Cudi.

The first headliner to cancel a performance was reported by the event's organizers to Rolling Stone Magazine, with co-founder Tariq Cherif adding that they "tried to get Ye to stay on the program but he wasn't having it." The cancellation comes just after another artist, Broward County native Kodak Black, was arrested in Fort Lauderdale on Friday on suspicion of drug possession.

Only a few days remain till the start of Rolling Loud before news of West's pullout from the event emerges. Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingle, the festival's co-founders, said in a statement that they were excited for Ye to headline Rolling Loud Miami 2022 and had spent months working with him and his team on the performance.

In addition, Rolling Loud stated that it "tried everything possible to keep Kanye West on the lineup until the very last minute, but he wasn't having it."

Cherif asserts that beginning in December 2021, Rolling Loud and the rapper had a solid "personal and professional relationship." They said that West had provided them with several assurances on the Miami 2022 appearance and that he had looked enthused about the event, even pleading with the festival organizers to release the lineup days "before the scheduled announcement time."

Earlier this year, West also canceled his headlining performance at Coachella, citing personal reasons for his withdrawal. West's departure from Coachella also came on short notice, with only 11 days before the California festival. Per Outlook India, this is not the first time West has canceled a performance.

Kanye West Sued Over Alleged $7.1 Million Unpaid Fees

A production and design firm filed a lawsuit against West only three days ago in a California court for $7.1 million, alleging that it had not received payment for its work on the canceled Coachella performance as well as many other collaborations. After a production firm filed a lawsuit against the rapper on July 14 for unpaid fees associated with numerous events, Kanye West, who has already been hit with several lawsuits, found himself in hot water once more.

One is suing Kanye West for $7.1 million. Phantom Labs said that the Grammy-winning rapper hired them to work on a number of significant projects but abandoned them in the middle of the process because he couldn't pay his obligation.

According to TMZ, Kanye West hired Phantom Labs to work on his events between June 2021 and March 2022, including the 'Free Larry Hoover' charity concert with Drake, four weeks of Sunday Service, Donda 2 Experience in Miami, and Coachella 2022, which he withdrew from two weeks before D-Day.

The latest setback occurs days after the billionaire rapper was sued for more than $400K by a fashion rental agency for failing to return expensive clothing. Phantom Labs' lawyer Howard King disclosed that Kanye West was initially completely honest about making the payment arrangements. However, it didn't take long for the costs to start piling up.

According to reports, the production company owes more than $6 million. The 'Donda' hitmaker allegedly agreed to pay off his debt with the $9 million he was about to receive as the headlining act at Coachella, according to the documents that were obtained.

The rapper, however, pulled out two weeks before the coveted event, which caused more problems with the production company. Phantom Labs hit the rapper with an extra $1.1 million to recoup labor linked to Coachella on top of the $6 million charges. As of now, Kanye West has not responded to the case.
