A 27-year-old strip club valet was arrested after authorities caught him showing up to what he believed was the home of a 13-year-old girl he could have sex with, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Alexander Vorobets was caught with a McDonald's happy meal and condoms when detectives from the Lake County Sheriff's Office surprised him at a vacant home in Clermont. He is one of 23 men arrested on child-sex or prostitution charges during a week-long sting called "Be Mine," officials said on Wednesday.
According to authorities, other suspects were caught with candy, jewelry, alcohol, and marijuana as they hoped to meet up with children as young as 13 to have sex. Sheriff Gary Borders said this operation was the third involving such crimes and has made over 100 arrest in the past few years.
"They never learn. As long as they're out there," he said, referring to one suspect who is already a registered sex offender. "We'll continue to work these operations and put them in jail."
Additionally, three suspects are Walt Disney World employees -- Robert Kingsolver, 49, Patrick Holgerson, 32, and Joel Torres, 32 -- and charged with a variety of sex crimes. Marilyn Waters, a spokeswoman for Disney, said all three have been placed on unpaid leave as the investigation continues.
One suspect, David Griffith, 47, told authorities he planned on meeting up with a 7-year-old for sex. Authorities were able to confirm his confession after viewing emails between Griffith and the 7-year-old's mother. When officials spoke with the girl, she told them her mother had sexually abused her in the past.
The other suspects were identified as Marcos Soto-Rossi, 30; Joey Hughes, 31; Brian Baker, 25; Tyler Edge, 23; Ryan Roach, 25; Alexander Vorobets, 27; Paul Samaroo, 31; Robert Kingsolver, 49; Troy Allen Dupler, 43; David Penny, 32, who police said is a registered sex offender; Patrick Holgerson, 32; Joel Torres, 32; Aaron Will, 23; Nasib Jobe, 39; Angel Eduardo Alvarez, 29; Ariel Ovanounou, 20; Belal Shofique, 33; Mathew Dove, 20; David Earl Parker, 43; Adam Michael Jimenez, 25; Nathan Taylor Sullivan, 22.
