Authorities are investigating the death of a two-year-old child who died after being found unresponsive in a West Yarmouth home on Thursday, WCVB reported.
Around 8:20 a.m., emergency responders arrived at the home and performed CPR before rushing the child to Cape Cod Hospital. The child was later pronounced dead.
Yarmouth authorities are being assisted by Massachusetts State Police in the investigation.

The Facebook account for the Yarmouth Police uploaded a statement following the tragic incident.
"First Responders involved in the incident are receiving assistance. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and everyone involved," statement said.
Several Facebook users expressed their condolences on the statement in the comments section.
"I heard the sirens," Claudia Robinson wrote. "My condolences go out to the family. I can't imagine the pain nor wish that upon anyone. Prayers."
"Truly a nightmare for any parent," Gordon Gibbons posted. "Its certainly my worst fear. Please use caution passing any judgement, the facts will come out."
