According to Russian official media, North Korea has offered the Kremlin 100,000 "volunteer" soldiers to assist Russia in defeating Ukraine.

Effective counter-battery warfare is of greater importance to the Russian military in light of the US plan to supply a dozen HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems) to Ukraine. Korotchenko lauded the North Korean military's "wealth of expertise with counter-battery warfare."

North Korean Troops Prepare To Help Russia

Last month, a military analyst said that the long-range, highly accurate missiles have "made a significant contribution to Ukraine's combat operations. Russian military analyst Igor Korotchenko said that Russia should accept the North Korean soldiers and their knowledge of counterbattery.

According to the New York Post, Korotchenko stated on Channel One Russia that "there are reports that 100,000 North Korean volunteers are preparing to come and take part in the fight." With almost 1.3 million active members, North Korea has the fourth-largest military in the world, according to the Council on Foreign Relations, located in New York. 600,000 more people serve as reserve military.

Defense specialists claim that it uses outdated machinery and technology, according to the CFR. The North Korean government has also volunteered to send laborers to help Russia reconstruct the post-war Ukraine, according to the South Korean publication Daily NK.

According to Daily NK, which cited Russian sources, North Korea intends to send more than 1,000 employees to the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine if Russia prevails in the conflict. These claims come at a time when Russia's armed forces are severely weakened. Furthermore, buildings and infrastructure have been devastated in huge portions of Ukraine as a result of bombing. Russia has so far tried unsuccessfully to take control of important Ukrainian cities and regions, including Kyiv, the capital.

Buildings have been destroyed in several bombed-out areas. Per USA Herald, between 15,000 and 25,000 Russian soldiers are thought to have died. Up to 100 Russian soldiers per day have lost their lives in the assault.

According to reports, Vladimir Putin appealed to Kim Jong Un, the despot of North Korea, for assistance as a result of Russia's defeats. In return, Russia will exchange electricity and food if North Korea donates forces to use in Ukraine. Through Matsegora, North Korea has communicated its willingness to trade construction workers for the reconstruction of war damage and soldiers for Russia's conflict. They also want food and oil in exchange.

Russia Admits That North Korea May Soon Conduct Nuclear Test

Meanwhile, the Russian government acknowledged that North Korea may conduct a nuclear test in the future but avoided specifying a time frame before pleading with other nations not to place "unilateral" demands on the nation in exchange for the suspension of its program.

According to a classified dossier obtained by DPA, the UN warned on Friday that North Korea is getting ready to perform its first nuclear test since 2017, given activity at the site and expanded fissile material production capabilities at the Yongbyon nuclear complex.

Per New 360 via MSN, North Korea has argued for enhancing its atomic and military capabilities despite tougher sanctions from the UN Security Council, saying that it is necessary to protect itself from what it perceives as aggressive actions by South Korea and the United States.
