Hunter Biden boarded Air Force One with his father, US President Joe Biden, on Wednesday for a trip to Kiawah Island, South Carolina, with the family. Republicans have criticized the FBI for using a "double standard" by raiding the property of the former president Donald Trump but not the Bidens.
In addition to being under federal investigation for tax fraud, money laundering, and unregistered lobbying, Hunter Biden frequently involved his father Joe in foreign business deals. However, there is no evidence that either the father or the son have been the subject of an FBI raid in connection with the ongoing investigation, NY Post reported.
Lawmakers Question FBI's "Double-Standard" Process
Just two days had passed since the FBI executed a search warrant at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, reportedly to recover presidential records that might contain classified information.
Trump described the raid as "political targeting at the highest level," and he rejected the nomination of Attorney General Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, who is in charge of the FBI. The Justice Department hasn't said much about the raid, and the White House maintains that Biden wasn't made aware of it beforehand.
The FBI's handling of Trump as contrasted to the Bidens, according to Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, demonstrated a "Banana Republic"-style judicial system. A copy of the FBI search warrant, which would provide light on the motivation behind the raid, has not been made public by Trump's legal team. The former president is apparently under investigation for his management of government data as well as his attempts to contest his defeat in the 2020 election. Meanwhile, the Hunter Biden inquiry is slowly moving.
A source earlier informed Fox News that the government probe into the first son's tax troubles had reached a "critical stage." The son of President Biden is being investigated by authorities to see whether to bring charges for alleged foreign lobbying violations, among other things.
The federal grand jury investigating Hunter Biden's business transactions concluded its most recent term late last month, according to a different source who spoke to Fox News, although she said no charges had been brought. David Weiss, a US Attorney in Delaware who was chosen by Trump, is leading the inquiry.

Republicans Prepare To Focus on Hunter Biden Probe
House Republicans are preparing a future Hunter Biden inquiry to trap Joe Biden in advance of a prospective reelection attempt as they rush to claim that the FBI search of Donald Trump's house was tainted by politics.
The interest of House Republicans in investigating the business affairs of the president's son and other family members do not conflict with their mistrust of the FBI's law enforcement activity at Mar-a-Lago. They argue that the Bidens' oversight would act as a check on the Justice Department, where they see politics to be at play in cases like the investigation into Trump's 2020 election interference.
The House GOP has come a long way since Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy received criticism within his own party in 2015 for promoting the electoral benefits of a Hillary Clinton investigation, however, as evidenced by their eagerness to speak publicly about their Biden investigation and inject presidential politics into an already contentious chamber.
After years of ignoring conflicts of interest among Trump's family, Republicans are now openly discussing their plans to use a Hunter Biden investigation as a springboard to pursue his father in 2019. There is no proof that the financial practices of Hunter Biden, who is the subject of a protracted federal investigation, influenced his father's choices as president, as per Politico.
However, GOP legislators are moving forward with their expansive investigation into the ethics of Hunter Biden's artwork sales and other commercial dealings, as well as the administration's policy choices.
