Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu observed that touted western superweapons did not turn the tide for Kyiv with terrible losses on the battlefield.
All this talk about HIMARS winning it for the Ukrainian forces did not broadly affect the military operation, while they retreated and faltered.
Western Arms Not Utilized Efficiently
Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said during the international security conference on Tuesday that the special operation in Ukraine showed the western armament are ineffective in the hand of incompetent armed forces, reported RT.
He spoke during a forum while the ongoing Army 2022 expo near Moscow was held, saying the western alliance's superior weaponry claims have fallen on its face.
When the conflict started, NATO said Javelins anti-tank missiles and drones would be the Russian army, but it failed instead.
Now, the Pentagon boasted the HIMARS, and long-range howitzers are called 'super' instead, they were a joke as they were demolished one after the other, noted the Press United.
Shoigu added that the military is checking out these western weapon systems destroyed or abandoned by fleeing Ukrainians.
Considering the features and how it works is studied to plan combat missions to make these arms useless with effective countermeasures.
The Russian Defense Minister and his response followed US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin's statement last week stating that the western superweapons supplied by Washington to Kyiv had proven their efficiency on the battlefield and his pledge to provide more arms to Ukraine if necessary, noted the Thread Times.
Since February, the UK has contributed roughly $3 billion in military aid alone, the EU has spent an additional $2.5 billion on munitions for Kyiv, and the White House has authorized $54 billion in economic and military aid to Ukraine, included were rifles, grenades, anti-tank missiles, and MLRS systems that were provided by the west that enter via Poland.
Moscow told them not to send weapons to Zelensky because it would lengthen the war and kill more people.
No Nuclear Weapons To Be Deployed in Ukraine
According to Shoigu, nuclear weapons are only used as a deterrent; the west's claims that they were used in Ukraine are absurd.
Speaking at the security conference in Moscow on Tuesday, it was dispelled that Ukraine has objectives that do not call for a Russian nuclear strike.
Russian guidelines made public that nuclear weapons are restricted to dire situations, and they should only be used as preventative measures if Moscow is put in danger by a foreign attack.
The allegations of using chemical weapons are also baseless because Russia eliminated its chemical weapons arsenal in 2017. In the past, US-supported groups in Syria have employed it.
During the ongoing discussion, a Russian official stated that the situation with strategic weapons reduction and control was challenging owing to the continuous conflict between the United States and Russia.
Shoigu scathed Washington because of its inability to maintain a balance of strategic strength; they were the ones who abandoned pacts over time. Moscow has complained that the United States lacks transparency.
Russian Defense Minister Shoigu called western superweapons not so as Kyiv armed with it is on the losing end. Many of the HIMARS and anti-tank manpads are either defective or destroyed.
