The NYPD is looking for three young females in connection with the murder of a New York City cab driver on Saturday after a vicious attack in which the trio reportedly participated.
The disturbing footage reveals how the mob mercilessly kicked and pummeled father-of-four Kutin Gyimah, 52, outside the Rockaway Beach neighborhood in Queens, at about 6.20 am on Saturday. According to the NYPD, the suspects grabbed a ride from Gyimah and then fled without paying their fee.
Five Teenagers Beat New York Taxi Driver to Death
On Thursday, two more male suspects were charged in connection with the killing of Kutin Gyimah and were photographed being perp-walked, while police continue to search for the remaining female suspects.
When Gyimah attempted to pursue them, one of the suspects wearing black and yellow sweatpants knocked him to the ground. He fractured his skull, passed out, and was discovered laying on the road near a playground with damage to the back of his head, Independent reported
All five were recorded on security video punching and kicking Gyimah until one of the thugs dealt a deadly hit to his head, leaving the cab driver lifeless on the pavement.
The newly released video shows Gyimah being pummeled by five passengers who refused to pay their price and attempted to rob him in Far Rockaway early Saturday morning, according to investigators. Footage reveals how each of the five seemed to strike the victim, who was unable to protect himself.
Following the incident, suspects were all captured on video laughing as they walked away and inside a residential building. In accordance with the NYPD, two males handed themselves up at the 101st Precinct on Wednesday night, as per Daily Mail.
Two Teen Girls at Large in Connection to the Incident
Austin Amos, followed by his mother, entered the 101st Precinct stationhouse in Far Rockaway, Queens, after authorities released footage of the individuals wanted in the killing of Kutin Gyimah.
Amos is accused of homicide, gang violence, assault, and service theft. He's been arrested six times before for robbery, criminal mischief, criminal contempt, and sexual misconduct. The second suspect, Nickolas Porter, 20, arrived at the precinct on Wednesday night and was charged with gang assault and theft of services.
Two girls, aged 13 and 15, are still being sought for their alleged participation in the incident and are anticipated to face gang assault charges if apprehended. Abigail Gyiham, Kutin Gyimah's wife, expressed relief at the news of the arrest.
"He was my kids' hero," she explained. "He was my backbone. He was the one I looked up to, aside from God, he was the only one I looked up to, and now his life has been cut short just like that." The couple has four children, aged three, five, seven, and eight.
Over the weekend, she remarked, "He was my backbone." "I'm lost right now. My children are here, and I don't know what to do. I'm lost. I'm lost in this world." Gyiham's coworkers regarded him as a restless worker, especially during the height of the coronavirus outbreak, according to ABC7 New York via MSN.
