A volunteer dive group claimed to have discovered the body of missing California girl Kiely Rodni last seen on August 6 at a high school farewell party in Truckee, northeast of Sacramento. Law enforcement has yet to confirm the discovery.

The volunteer organization Adventures with Purpose posted on Facebook on Sunday, "We just found Kiely Rodni." The group said her car was submerged in Prosser Lake's 14-foot depth of water.

The organization said the car's license plate matched the one previously made public by police to help identify Rodni's vehicle, a silver 2013 Honda CRV, per CBS News.

The group said it notified law enforcement and Rodni's family and would host a live stream announcement on Monday to provide further information.

The FBI, the Nevada County Sheriff's Office, and Placer County Sheriff's Office are all currently conducting investigations. They have not yet validated the group's conclusions as of present reporting. At 2:00 p.m. ET, authorities will hold their own press conference regarding the Kiely Rodni Missing Case.

The information was released a few hours after authorities recovered a white SUV from a reservoir in California on Sunday night in response to a diving team's claim that they had discovered the body of missing 16-year-old Kiely Rodni.

Near the campground where Rodni vanished about two weeks ago, the SUV was rescued from the sea. Uncertainty exists about the ownership of the car that was taken from Prosser Creek Reservoir.

Adventures with Purpose, a well-known YouTube site that helps with missing person investigations, said her car was discovered upside down in 14 feet of water with her inside, per Fox News.

Kiely's Last Moments

According to her family, Rodni recently graduated from Truckee Charter High School in June. Her mother, Lindsey Rodni Nieman, held back tears as she begged for someone to come forward with information in a video that was aired by police in the early days of the search.

Rodni Nieman said: "Kiely we love you, and if you see this, please just come home. I want nothing more than to hug you."

Around 12:30 a.m., the teen was last spotted. The last action on her cell phone occurred three minutes later near a lake while she was still at the party. She texted her mother at around 12:15 a.m.

Sami Smith, another of Rodni's close pals, told Fox News that she had been "partying" with Rodni and that she would soon be on her way home, but Rodni was too inebriated to drive. She thought Rodni would spend the night at the campground, according to a report from The Daily Beast.

Thousands of Tips Received by Police

At least 1,200 tips poured into law enforcement's phones, but officers had trouble finding a solid lead in the Kiely Rodni Missing Case.

Police discovered Rodni on a party video about a week into the search. She was dressed in a pink hoodie bearing the words "Odd Future" on the front. Police circulated images of the hoodie, hoping someone would find it, either on Rodni or abandoned in the vast expanses of forest surrounding the campground where she vanished.

Additionally, pictures of Rodni's 2013 silver Honda CRV, which has been missing since the party, have surfaced.
