Moscow reports that an attempted Ukrainian commando attack on Energodar City was stopped by the Russian military. Local officials said the commandos in speedboats were stopped from completing their mission sanctioned by Kyiv.
Foiled Assault by Ukrainian Forces
Vladimir Rogov, a local military-civilian administration member, allegedly Ukraine carelessly bombed an area near the Zaporozhye nuclear plant before its failed raid on the Russia-controlled Energodar last Saturday night, reported RT.
However, the Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet made any public remarks about the latest attempt by the Kyiv authorities to put the nuclear power plant in peril. Rogov made the statement after learning that several groups of 15 speedboats attempted to speed around the Kakhovka Reservoir. They intended to land in Energodar, and the nearby small towns of Vasilyevka and Dneproprudnoye noted Posts of Asia.
Around midnight, the first unconfirmed observations of numerous speedboats having left the reservoir's Ukraine-controlled shore emerged, correlating with accusations of revived artillery fire on Energodar City.
Rogov stated in a follow-up Telegram post that Russian forces supposedly launched Ka-52 helicopter gunships after learning about it and confirming the boat clusters and effectively thwarted the attempted assault. He added that the Russian Defence Ministry should publicly disclose more information about the engagement shortly.
Attempt To Use UN Team as Human Shield
Moscow informed the media of the poorly executed raid by the Ukrainian commando attack to take the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant hostage well before the UN International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and its director, Rafael Grossi, arrived for the inspection.
Kyiv's plan failed from September 1 to take complete control of the nuclear power plant by abducting UN nuclear inspectors and employing them as human shields to halt Russian forces' advances, citing Big News Network.
After the primary IAEA mission left, the strikes resumed, notwithstanding Grossi's statement that six of the agency's specialists remained in Energodar. Of the six individuals who were separated from the main group, four will depart this weekend, and two will remain at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant indefinitely.
As of early March, Energodar and the nuclear facility, under Russian control, have functioned without mishap. However, in July, quadcopter and heavy weapons attacks did start. According to Sergey Shoigu, the Russian defense minister, 29 attacks against the nuclear power plant started on July 18.
Ukraine's government used up to 120 artillery shells and 16 kamikaze drones in its rash attempts to target the NPP and cause damage. The Kievan regime has rebutted that Russia used the plant as a base for heavy artillery and equipment and that the bombardments were false-flag activities initiated by Moscow to damage Ukraine's public image.
Ukrainian General Staff recognized for the first time that Ukraine's troops must have purportedly targeted the nuclear power plant to hit Russian artillery systems last Friday.
Throughout the accusations by the Kievan leader about Russia's alleged misdoings to smear the Kremlin that was repeated by western media. There were lightly armed guards with no heavy weapons to keep the Zaporozhye NPP secured.
Moscow commented on the failed and botched-up Ukrainian commando attack that was supposed to land at Energodar city and two other towns to access the nuclear facility. The express objective of the commandoes was to get control of the NPP but Russian gunships stopped them.
