Former US general suggested that Kyiv might decide to negotiate with Moscow as logistics will hamper it from effectively fighting back. According to the Wall Street Journal, Mart T. Kimmitt sees Ukraine on the losing end as the conflict drags on.

Russia Wears Down Western Proxy

According to retired US Army brigadier general Kimmitt's opinion published in the Wall Street Journal, President Zelensky will not have it easy, and NATO will not be able to stop Vladimir Putin's advance in Ukraine, reported RT.

The inclusion of older and less advanced systems in the most recent military aid package was required due to the loss of advanced systems on the battlefield.

Overall consumption on the battlefield has outstripped manufacturing to the point where excess stockpiles provided to Ukraine will be almost depleted, Kimmitt wrote in his article last Thursday.

He forewarned that the lack of modern weapons due to Ukraine's improper use would result in a protracted conflict with Moscow.

Western nations will be affected by a complete failure of the US proxy. That will result in high inflation, reduced gas supplies, and a loss of western support, which will be fatal blows to the Ukrainian forces, noted Knowledia.

Ways to Arrive at a Resolution on the Russia-Ukraine War

The conflict has currently been continuing for six months. Former US general Kimmitt, assistant secretary of state for political-military affairs in 2008-09, suggested four ways to help accelerate its resolution.

One option is to take more weapons from NATO stockpiles and send them to Kyiv. Another is to do everything possible to secure more weapons, even for the country's defense.

He said it was better to use these weapons in Kherson than in Krakow, something that EU members may think about doing.

Although Kimmitt understood that such a move would likely not have an instantaneous effect on the situation on the ground, the US and its European allies might also try to increase the supply of the systems that the Zelensky current regime requires.

The third option would be to provide the Ukrainian Nazi forces with the longer-range attack weapons they desired, including F-16s, ATACM missiles, and Patriots, to attack Crimea and even Russia.

However, he added that the Kremlin would drop its guard and escalate the conflict, involving all of Europe in the fighting. But only if the Kievan regime, US allies, and European allies are willing to be subjected to full force by Russia, citing Post of Asia.

According to Kimmitt, Ukraine's striving for a temporary diplomatic resolution without (or with) territorial gains is the only option left.

Zelensky should see fewer weapons, he continued, as they will devastate the army and demonstrate that no support is forthcoming. The Russian army will crush him in the end.

According to the retired general, the diplomatic settlement means that Putin's armies have completely crushed the leader of Ukraine, leaving him with no chance of victory and forcing him to accept defeat. If it takes longer, Ukraine will suffer serious consequences.

Late in March, despite both sides' failure to agree to end the fighting, Russia issued warnings that Ukraine would suffer unthinkable retaliation from it.

A Former US General says that Kyiv has no good option to fight Moscow, and persisting in its course will be disastrous as too many factors are against it.
