James Viscount Severn, the Queen's grandson, appeared solemn as he kept watch over his grandmother's casket this evening at Westminster Hall, acting older than his 14 years.

Just before six o'clock in the evening, the Queen Elizabeth's grandchildren came in Westminster, where they staged a historic vigil to honor the late monarch, who passed away peacefully at Balmoral on September 8.

Queen's Youngest Grandson Has Striking Resemblance to Prince William

Prince William, the Prince of Wales, Prince Harry, sporting the Blues and Royals outfit, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Zara Tindall, Peter Phillips, Lady Louise Windsor, and James, the younger of her two brothers, also attended.

The 14-year-old was seen during the 10-minute vigil with his head lowered and looking toward the ground as mourners poured past Her Majesty's coffin to pay their respects.

The poignant vigil that took place yesterday saw members of the royal family looking serious and moved as they watched the Queen's children guard her coffin in a vigil on Friday night. This evening's program follows that sorrowful vigil.

The Queen's four children stood guard over their mother's casket at Westminster Hall on Friday night for more than ten minutes as wistful mourners looked on. Charles, who was wearing a Navy Admiral uniform, stood at the head of the siblings who were watching a side of the casket.

The ceremonial Vigil of Princes that King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward performed in St. Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh while their mother, the Queen, lay in state was replicated, as per Dialy Mail.

James's willingness to take on the challenge was lauded by royal admirers, who also compared him to a young Prince William who attended the funeral of his mother Princess Diana in 1997.

A few days before the vigil of the grandchildren, Prince William and Prince Harry put aside their differences and marched behind the Queen's casket as she made her way to Westminster Hall.

In the Queen's procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall, where the body is still lying in state until the funeral on Monday, September 19, the brothers, who have had a tense relationship in recent years, marched together in mourning.

A painful reminder of the Princess Diana burial was Prince William and Prince Harry's procession behind the Queen's casket. On September 6, 1997, the brothers, along with their father Charles, marched behind the coffin of their mother. The boys were then 15 and 12, OK reported.

Who Is James, Viscount Severn?

Peter Phillips is the son of Anne, the Princess Royal, whilst James, Viscount Severn is the son of Prince Edward. People who were watching the vigil on television immediately inquired about James, the Queen's youngest grandchild, and his medals, especially given that he is just 14 years old.

With his advanced age, James wore the fewest medals of the royal family for all the vigils that have been held in the past few days. The reason is quite straightforward: He was wearing civilian decorations, not military ones.

Two medals-one for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012 and another for her late Majesty's Platinum Jubilee earlier this year-were worn by the young royal. Both of those medals, as well as the 2002 Golden Jubilee medal, were worn by Peter Phillips, the eldest grandchild of the Queen.

The final mourners will be admitted to Westminster Hall just before 6:30 a.m. tomorrow, so if you want to pay your respects to the Queen before the state burial, get in line as soon as possible, according to Lad Bible.
