Tom Brady ended the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' seven-game losing skid to the New Orleans Saints as his side triumphed 20-10 in Louisiana despite a heated contest marked by altercations and tense nerves.
Since Brady joined Tampa Bay, the team has suffered four of those seven defeats, and those three years of disappointment appeared to take a toll on the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
Brady lost his temper on the sidelines by throwing a Microsoft tablet to the ground with 10:48 left in the third quarter and the Bucs trailing the Saints 3-0, CNN reported.
After an unsuccessful third-down pass left the score at 3-3 in the fourth quarter, his annoyances erupted, and he collided with Marshon Lattimore of New Orleans. Lattimore and Evans were ultimately ejected from the game after being involved in a fight that was started by Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette and wide receiver Mike Evans.
The NFL later punished Evans for "violations of unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike behavior" by fining him one game without pay. Tampa Bay will not be happy to hear about the suspension, but the happenings on Sunday seemed to inspire the Bucs as Brady connected with wide receiver Breshad Perriman for a score of 28 yards, giving the club a 10-3 lead.
With 5:50 remaining, Ryan Succop kicked a field goal from 47 yards out to increase the Bucs' advantage. Mike Edwards then intercepted Jameis Winston of the Saints and returned the interception 68 yards for a score to give the Bucs the victory.
An Intense Game
After the game, Brady told reporters, "It's an emotional game." He added that execution helps all around, a little bit and noted that the defense performed admirably, and the offensive line gave it its all.
"It's a really tough team, really well coached - a team we really struggle with, so it feels good to win."
Tom Brady has issued an apology for his actions during Sunday's game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints, during which he was seen furiously hurling his tablet into the sidelines, per People.
The Buccaneers quarterback, 45, posted a video in response to theTom Brady tablet incident, which was captured on camera by FOX and extensively circulated on social media. His team subsequently defeated the Saints 20-10.
In his video, Brady noted the team's unbeaten run since defeating the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month and stated, "Great win to get to 2-0.
Tom Brady Working Out His Relationship With Gisele Bündchen
Earlier this week, rumors swirled that Tom Brady's relationship with the former supermodel Gisele Bündchen was deteriorating when she was seen weeping into her phone while walking with their baby,
In addition to co-parenting his 15-year-old son John "Jack" with his ex, Bridget Moynahan, Tom and Gisele have been married for 13 years and have two children together, per a news story on Yahoo! News.
The fact that Tom Brady came out of retirement earlier this year after what his wife thought would be more time for him to spend with the family after years on the road as the all-time most successful quarterback is one of the reasons for their marital problems.
His struggles on the field may be related to his alleged off-field conflicts with the Brazilian wonder. Tom and Gisele are trying to work through their issues while living apart, with Bundchen in New York and Tom in Florida.
