No. 2 Arizona hasn't stumbled since losing sophomore forward Brandon Ashley to a season-ending foot injury. The Wildcats lost their only game of the season on Feb. 1 to California, the game in which Ashley tore a ligament in his right foot, but bounced back with consecutive wins over Oregon and Oregon State.

"We're not going to be able to replace Brandon," Arizona coach Sean Miller said of his team's third-leading scorer, via ESPN. "We're going to have to do it as a team and there are things that we have to try to emphasize more now that he's not a part of what we're doing and maybe emphasize some things less. We're working through that as a coaching staff and a team."

With the loss of Ashley's production on offense, Arizona (23-1) will rely even more on their defense. The Wildcats' stingy defense is keeping opponents to a national-best 40.7 percent shooting on two-point field goals, according to ESPN.

Arizona State (18-6), meanwhile, heads into the rivalry game also looking for their third straight win after winning five of their last six games. Senior center Jordan Bachynski was a big part of the team's last two wins, averaging 21.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 8.0 blocks in the two contests.

"You can't say enough about the weekend Jordan Bachynski had," Arizona State coach Herb Sendek said. "He was spectacular again (against Oregon). He was almost perfect from the field, almost perfect from the foul line, nine blocked shots, nine rebounds, including the game-winning play."
