According to police sources, several suitcases that seemed to be filled with human parts were discovered inside a Brooklyn residence on Wednesday afternoon.
At 315 Linwood Street in East New York, police discovered the horrifying find at around 1:30 p.m. sources said after a bad odor was allegedly reported in a house on the sixth floor. The 20-year-old woman who resided in the apartment had been reported missing by the neighbors for a number of days, as per New York Post.
Dismembered Body Discovered in Brooklyn Apartment
A substantial amount of blood was discovered on the property, according to officials. The building supervisor of a nearby block was the one to find the human remains first and subsequently calledauthorities, said a woman who lives next door to the awful scene.
According to other occupants of the building, the flat where the remains were discovered had a boyfriend and fights were frequently heard there. The woman and her boyfriend frequently quarreled in the apartment where they both lived. Her partner is being sought after by the police, Daily Mail reported.
The suspected victim's identity has not yet been made public. The building, which was built in 2020 and has 100 individual flats, is home to several formerly homeless persons. "Sincerity be damned, this is not the best part of town, but this is crazy. Absolute rubbish, To even be in this neighborhood makes me nervous. I'm just sick," said Lindsey Vena, one of the tenants in the apartment.
Per Fox News, neighbor Kim Angeles said, "The super found her body in suitcases." When they knocked on the door, a man emerged rushing from the smell. She described it as "scary." She said, "My two kids live here. This shouldn't be something we must deal with."
It is very early in the investigation, so it is unclear what may have taken place before the startling finding. The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner. A probe is still being conducted.
Another Crime in Brooklyn, New York
Meanwhile, a guy in Brooklyn was stabbed to death after holding the door open for his killer and that simple act of compassion ended up being one of the final things he ever did, according to a witness.
The altercation between Jay Nunez, 37, and another man on Wednesday inside a smoke store in Gowanus is captured on video. Nunez allegedly remarked upon not receiving a "thank you" from the person for whom he held the door open, to whom the other person allegedly responded that he had never asked Nunez to do so.
Nunez, who is dressed in white, and the suspect are seen exchanging blows inside the store before the brawl spills outdoors. The employee claimed that Nunez's final remarks before he fainted while covered in blood and stumbled back to the store, were about being stabbed. Video captured the suspect leaving the area on a bike.
Lucia Canella, overcome with sorrow, said she couldn't believe she lost her son in a fatal argument that resulted from poor manners. The suspect is being sought by the police. There have not yet been any arrests, according to NBC New York via MSN.
