Hungarian PM said that lifting Russian sanctions is essential to lessen the problems caused by trade restrictions. He added that he wants his party to work to end punitive sanctions that have harmed members instead of Moscow.
Call To End the Sanctions Now
According to Viktor Orban, the prime minister of Hungary, the EU's leaders imposed sanctions on Russian energy, which triggered a crisis all over the entire continent, reported RT.
On his Facebook page last Wednesday, the politician who has criticized Brussels for its actions announced that he would schedule a meeting with the majority party in parliament.
Local media said in a closed-door gathering he blamed EU bureaucrats for the hardships that member states, including Hungary, currently face.
As said by local media, he faulted EU bureaucrats for such hardships that member countries, which include Hungary, have been experiencing inside a private meeting, noted Hi India.
Mr. Orban spoke to Fidesz party members of parliament and the allied Christian Democrats (KDNP) that wayward sanctions by Brussels at the behest of the US are the cause of the high price.
If the European Council does what is right, the high fuel price and inflation will go down, noted Magyar Nemzet daily. Hungarian PM claimed that the EU leadership committed in the early summer that Russian sanctions could very well damage Russia's economy instead of the economies of EU members, but the reverse has been realized.
Orban anticipated that the Bloc would be able to prevent an economic downturn if the sanctions were abolished, citing Good Word News.
He suggests that November of this year would be a good time for Brussels to consider easing the trade sanctions against Russia.
Additionally, the Hungarian coalition in power hopes to have the sanctions lifted by the end of the year. Orban took time to slam the opposition in Hungary and charged them with supporting Brussels without thinking about what would happen to Hungarians if the sanctions did more harm than good.
Several measures were referenced, like energy subsidies, that the Fidesz-KDNP government is enacting to lessen the ill-effects of the punitive measures, remarked an outlet.
When Victor Orban won unanimously in an April election victory, Brussels did not like it because he opposed the European Union leadership.
He criticizes the EU leader harshly for supporting Kyiv during the Russia-Ukraine conflict and allowing negative consequences to follow.
The EU council is oblivious to what is happening in Europe at the moment, even though the Bloc will suffer the most.
All of these sanctions were put in place by Brussels at the request of Washington in retaliation for Russia's decision to launch the special operation in Ukraine in late February.
EU Set To Impose More Sanctions on Russia
Josep Borrell stated that the EU had opted to impose fresh sectoral and personal sanctions on Russia due to "political" factors after an emergency meeting of all its ministers, per Almanar.
As stated by the EU's foreign policy chief, additional sanctions against Russia would be levied in response to proposals to hold plebiscites on uniting Russia with the Donbas republics as well as other regions of Ukraine which are under Russian control.
The Hungarian PM Viktor Orban told Brussels that Russian sanctions are failing, even if the black has a financial and energy crisis that is caused by the European Council.
