Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns got discharged from the hospital after sustaining multiple injuries following a single-car accident on Monday.
According to the Browns, per The New York Post, the defensive lineman suffered a shoulder sprain, biceps strain, minor cuts, and bumps and bruises as a result of the car crash. It's uncertain how long he will be out of action and whether he will play against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
In a statement released by the Browns on Tuesday night, the team said it was "thankful" that Myles and his passenger were not "gravely hurt" and there was nobody else harmed during the Myles Garrett car accident.
It added that Myles suffers from a shoulder sprain, biceps strain, minor lacerations, as well as several bumps and bruises to different body spots, according to our team doctors at University hospitals after their medical examinations of the Cleveland Browns star athlete.
"Currently, our focus is on providing Myles the medical care needed for him to return to football activity," the Cleveland Browns' statement reads. Furthermore, it stated that the team's health experts will make an assessment of his readiness for their upcoming games. Nevertheless, the team is hoping that Myles Garrett will recover soon and return to action.
Myles Garrett car accident happened on State Road south of State Route 18 in Sharon Township while he was driving home from practice at about 3 p.m. ET on Monday. According to Yahoo! Sports, his automobile veered off the right side of the road, flipped several times, and then came to a halt.

The footage of the Myles Garrett car accident was provided by the Medina County Sheriff's Office and News 5 in Cleveland. The video shows the Browns' defensive end resting on the grass next to his wrecked Porsche 911 Turbo S in Ohio, receiving first aid treatment from firemen and emergency practitioners. In the footage, blood could be seen dripping from his wrist area.
After being asked to flex his right biceps and speaking coherently, Garrett, whose shirt sleeves seemed to be torn, was lifted and allowed to move on his own, although trembling.
The female passenger, whose face is concealed, is being examined while also lying on the ground close to him.
Police Rule Out Possibility of DUI
Garrett was transported to the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center, per a WYKC report, while the lady passenger was moved to a separate nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network has reported that Myles Garrett car accident happened when Myles attempted to avoid hitting an oncoming animal.
Police said they have no reason to believe that Myles Garrett was under the influence of drugs or alcohol when the car crash happened, per TMZ.
Myles Garrett is playing his sixth season after being drafted No. 1 overall in 2017 by the Cleveland Browns. This season, the 26-year-old has made seven total tackles and three sacks.
The Cleveland Browns, who are 2-1 so far this season, is scheduled to play the Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday.
