Head of Donetsk and Luhansk asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to claim the four breakaway provinces that are ready to be part of Russia. This was reported as the referendums swung to Moscow's side after eight years.
Donbas Now Under Russia
In a discussion with the state-run news agency TASS, Denis Pushilin, spokesperson of the separatist officials of the Donetsk province, stated that he was making a trip to Moscow with the final procedure of a referendum vote on uniting with Russia "to concretize integration," reported AA.
Individually, Leonid Pasechnik, the head of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic, informed TASS that he planned to also go to the Russian capital to complete the processes of uniting with Russia.
Another is the separatist civil-military administration of the Zaporizhzhia region chief, Evgeny Balitsky, who is also heading to Moscow, and the leader of Kherson, Vladimir Saldo, who also requested the annexation of his province on Telegram.
Even though the international community has broadly repudiated the election results in Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk as a "total farce," the United States and other European countries disclosed that 98% of voters chose to join Russia as a consequence of the plebiscites.
Donbas Referendum Results Finally Disclosed
All the local election commissions reveal that most of the DPR and LPR have decided to vote in favor of Russia, not Ukraine, after eight years of unrelenting attacks by Kyiv's forces, noted Daily Telegraph.
According to initial official statistics, upwards of 99% of the DPR voter base favored the idea of having to join Russia.
Similar outcomes were achieved in the LPR referendum, in which more than 98% of the voting public prioritized potential integration. As seen by local authorities, every one of the votes has already been tallied in both autonomous regions.
Between September 23 and September 27, polls were taken in the states as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Ukraine, which are under the direct authority of Moscow.
These places had declared seceding from Ukraine when the Maidan coup in 2014 and the hostilities in eastern Ukraine followed soon. All the votes were more than 80% for the official plebiscite base on the results.
Beijing told the west to accept the sovereignty of the referendum China reaffirmed on Tuesday that the sovereignty of all nations must be treated with respect in the context of Russia's plebiscite in the four regions of Ukraine, citing Yenisafak.
In a comment given at a media briefing in Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin stated, "China always sustains the sovereign and territorial sovereignty of all regions and must be respected."
He added that the aims and fundamentals of the UN Charter should always be adhered to, the reasonable security issues of all nations should always be treated seriously, as well as all initiatives to remedy whatever crisis peaceably must be backed, speaking to an outlet.
The provinces of Donetsk and Luhansk want to be part of Russian territory, as the referendum shows, as its leader goes to Moscow and meets Putin soon.
