Russia went before the security council last Friday and told the body that damaging the Nord Stream pipeline is farfetched. The permanent representative of Moscow to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, said it was preposterous and mentioned justification for why it alleges the US.

Moscow Denies Being Responsible for Nord Stream Sabotage

Nebenzia expounded why the move to damage the pipeline ties into Washington's intentions, reported the Daily Telegraph.

Knocking the Nord Stream 1 and 2 out of commission will allow the US to supply its more expensive liquefied natural gas to the European continent.

He told the security council that without cheap Russian gas, the bloc would have no choice but to be less independent, resulting from the move to allegedly harm European industry by relocating it to the US due to high energy costs.

Due to the choice of Brussels, which will have to brave the general winter coming soon, many Europeans will freeze, noted the Thread Times.

He added that losing Nord Stream 1 and 2 will be detrimental to Brussels; by far, Russian energy firms offer affordable power and reliability to the UN security council. It is alleged that the US host of the UN Headquarters is referenced.

Furthermore, the diplomat from Russia said the Poles, Czechs, and Baltic politicos are livid with Russophobia, but many experts are warning such inane hysteria could impact the European economy by shooting itself in the foot, citing Menafn.

Nebenzia elaborated on the topic, stating that the EU lacks common sense and would rather believe Russians are attempting to cow the European sphere, which is not the case.

He added the Nord Stream pipeline offered an advantage, so sabotage is not probable despite what the media says. Raged about how the idea that Moscow would even consider attacking Nord Stream 1 and 2 is beyond comprehension for various reasons.

One is that the cost of building the two pipelines that are supposed to give earnings to Moscow is too far off. The diplomat reiterated that the west constantly charges these pipelines' weaponization.

Denmark Reports Aftermath of Nord Stream Leaks

Danish authorities were told of the leaks on Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines last Monday when a local pipeline operator noticed an abrupt pressure drop. Next came the sequential undersea explosions that preceded the leaks.

Next, the US and several other nations, including Germany, Sweden, and Norway, claimed that saboteurs were to blame for the methane gas leak.

Later, Russian Leader Vladimir Putin said the Western alliance got desperate because their sanctions failed. The last resort is intentional sabotage of the pipeline, which is a pernicious act. Of interest is the presser last Friday by the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken denies that Washington or NATO had anything to do with damaging Nord Stream 1 and 2.

Immediately, US President Joe Biden said that Russia was spreading disinformation that Washington was the likely suspect in the pipeline bombing.

The Russian diplomat told the UN security council who it suspects as the one who sabotaged the Nord Stream pipeline, saying why should Moscow even think of it.
