"Death to America" chants were heard across the highest Iranian governing body, serving as another example of the pro-regime fervor that still exists in the nation despite the expansion of demonstrations asking for the Islamic republic to be overthrown.

In a video shared on social media, members of the Iranian Consultative Assembly congregate in the middle of the assembly room and raise their fists while chanting together.

Protests in Iran Over Young Woman's Death Continue

When asked for death to the opposition, they first declare themselves ready before quickly switching to death to Israel, death to America. Despite efforts by the Biden administration to give the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), or Iran nuclear deal, first priority even at the sacrifice of human rights, the feeling suggests another reason why it continues to fail.

Last month, State Secretary Antony Blinken stated that negotiations had stepped backward from where they had been and that it was still uncertain whether the two countries would reach any sort of agreement.

As Iran deals with widespread protests following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, tensions between the US and Iran have gotten worse. It becomes even less likely that the countries will find any common ground for a nuclear deal after Tehran stated that the US and other countries incited the protests for their own benefit, as per Fox News.

Mahsa Amini, 22, died on September 16 while she was still being held in detention by Iranian morality police after being detained in Tehran because they believed she was wearing her headscarf too loosely.

The Iran Human Rights (IHR) organization said that at least 92 people have died as protests entered their third week today. The enemies of Iran, according to President Ebrahim Raisi, failed in their conspiracy.

Protestors Receive no Message From Iran's Leader

Following the first outbreak of violence in the western areas, which are home to Amini and Iran's Kurdish minority, clashes between protestors and security forces have shaken cities around the nation for 16 nights in a row.

Conflicts in Iran's far southeast, close to the borders with Afghanistan and Pakistan, claimed the lives of another 41 people on Friday, according to IHR. The allegations that a police chief in the area had abused a teenage girl from the Baluch Sunni minority were alleged to be what prompted those riots, as per Daily Mail.

At least 92 demonstrators and police have died since the rallies started on September 17, according to Iranian state television. Fourteen people were reported dead according to official government statements obtained by the Associated Press, and more than 1,500 protesters were detained.

The statewide protests, which have now spread to Iran's 31 provinces, have received no comments from the country's highest authority, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. A probe into Amini's passing has been mandated by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, VOA News reported.
