The size of Nick Cannon's enormous family has just increased slightly. The actor and TV personality revealed the birth of his ninth kid on social media on Friday.
After 48 hours of labor, Cannon revealed that his baby son, Rise Messiah Cannon, was born last Friday. The baby was 10 pounds in weight.
Nick Cannon now has ten children.
Together with the newborn's mother, Brittany Bell, Cannon celebrated Rise's birth. Their third child together is him. They also have a 20-month-old daughter and a boy who is 5 years old.
Onyx Ice Cole Cannon, Cannon's youngest daughter, was born 10 days prior to Rise's birth, which was also revealed by Cannon. Onyx, his ninth child with model Lanisha Cole, was born less than a month ago. He has had three children so far this year. Numerous speculations also suggest that he and Abby De La Rosa are expecting another child, as per Buzz Feed.
Each pregnancy was planned and intentional, and his relationships with the moms of his children are healthy and consenting, according to actor, musician, and TV host Cannon, who has made headlines for having many babies with different women in a short period of time. However, his decision to father these kids has been ridiculed and has given rise to a host of issues.
Cannon has responded when questioned about his emotional participation as a father, saying, If I'm not physically in the same city with my kids, I'm talking to them before they go to school via FaceTime and whatnot. And then when I'm there, I'm taking my kids to school, making sure I pick them up.
The love and pride Cannon has for his children are evident from a brief scan through his Instagram profile, and many of the mothers have applauded Cannon's presence. For Rockwell, this obsession with his family is not unusual. We as the public cling onto every detail and treat it as gossip if a public figure acts in a way that differs from the usual, such as having numerous children from various houses.
In addition to being unusual, several professionals believe that this dynamic is harmful. Many people question how Cannon can be present for each of his 10 children, who are all under the age of 11, physically and emotionally, if they all reside in different families.

Cannon's Growing Family
Despite the paucity of data on Cannon's fathering style, studies have demonstrated that a child's mental wellbeing is influenced by both a stable bond with their parents and by the quality of that relationship. Barbara La Pointe is concerned that the Wild 'n Out host is unconsciously establishing a legacy of generational trauma because she deals largely with families that are going through divorce and separation.
Relationship expert Zakiya Knighten is particularly concerned about the moms of his children who, despite choosing to be in these situations, may also be more stressed out and at risk for mental health issues. One of Cannon's partners claimed in an Instagram story that has since been removed that she had been up for three days caring for their child, sparking speculation on social media about Cannon's whereabouts.
Contrary to what many people think, Cannon is not the first famous person to father numerous children by various women. Actor Clint Eastwood's daughter told The Sunday Times that Eastwood is believed to have eight children with six different women. Elon Musk, who shares 10 children-two with singer Grimes, two with Shivon Zilis, a manager at Musk's Neuralink, and six with his first wife, Justine Wilson-has also made jokes about helping the underpopulation situation.
The distinction is that Cannon publicly embraces his unconventional parenting method and rejects monogamy, even confronting skeptics in the process, USA Today reported.
