Duke (19-5) gained an extra day of rest when their game scheduled for Wednesday against North Carolina was postponed due to inclement weather. With a two-game winning streak under their belt, the No. 8 Blue Devils have the added confidence of blowing out two teams after their Feb. 1 loss to Syracuse.

Duke handed Wake Forest an 83-63 loss on Feb. 4, and then followed it up with an 89-68 win against Boston College on Feb. 8, where freshman Jabari Parker posted career-highs with 29 points and 16 rebounds.

"Jabari was a monster today with the amount of rebounds and points," Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said, via ESPN. "He wasn't rewarded on the offensive boards with some of his finishes or it could have been a 35-, 36-point game."

Maryland (14-11), meanwhile, has won three of their last six games. The Terrapins followed up an 83-71 win against Florida State on Feb. 8 with a 61-53 loss on Monday to Virginia. Despite the uneven performances, junior swingman Dez Wells believes the team is improving.

"We are getting better. We are," said Wells, who leads the Terps in scoring with 15.0 points per game. "It just came down to two or three lapses on the defensive end. When we're playing a team like Virginia where they slow it up and want to play in the 50s or 60s, every possession matters."

Terrapins coach Mark Turgeon offered a similar assessment.

"We've gotten so much better in the last month," he said. "We're figuring it out."
