A teen boy, age 15, was slain with a gunshot to his chest, last Friday afternoon, in a suspected gang shootout at a Queens subway station in New York City.
According to the local police investigating the incident, an encounter with a rival group caused a fatal altercation that resulted in the death of one of the participants.

Gang Shootout at Queens Subway
According to police sources, the fighting broke out on the Rockaway-bound A train with two unknown groups, the subway conductor remarked, reported NY Daily News.
In the witness's statement, one of the members of these gangs felt the need to call in more members, according to the cops. Soon after a call from one of these groups, two more suspicious teens got on the train at Beach 25th Street, verified by a police source.
When the subway train was making the next and final stop on Far Rockaway/Mott Avenue, at around 3:45 p.m., at this moment of the two teenage males who boarded Beach 25th St. drew a hidden firearm and fired a round, noted a police witness.
In the ensuing suspected gang shootout, a good Samaritan pulled the teen boy from the train to the Queens subway platform.
Two policemen were patrolling at that time when they came upon the rescuer and the victim. New York Police Department Transit Bureau Head, Jason Wilcox, confirmed attempts to revive the shot teen with CPR failed.
EMS Rescues Shootout Victim
According to a witness who worked at a retail business nearby, Emergency Medical Service (EMS) workers arrived at the train station and took the victim. The witness remarked that the victim was carried out on his side on a stretcher with unkempt hair.
One unidentified girl in pink was trying desperately to climb into the ambulance with the victim and screaming hysterically. She claims that the victim was her brother, citing Yahoo News.
Details indicate that the EMS workers placed an oxygen mask on the victim, remarked one witness. He died along the way to the Children's Medical Center, despite the best efforts of the EMS team.

Chief Wilcox said this was not accidental violence but intentional as the groups involved were having a dispute on the train. Several reasons for the rumble between the two groups remains unclear.
Detectives were investigating the probable cause that could be students involving students at close by Beach Channel Educational Campus, which comprises several institutions.
Authorities arrested a suspect after Friday, as police seeks wilnessess to help in solving the crime, noted the NY 1.
