Since then, at least four persons have been detained for interrogation in connection with the case, but no arrests have been made public. When the youngster didn't return home from school in the French capital on Friday, her parents called the police.

The woman later appears in the video with a suitcase. Police then discovered evidence of a kidnapping in the basement of the building. The girl's father, who works as the building's caretaker, told police he saw his daughter with the woman in her 20s on videotape from the building.

On Rue d'Hautpoul, a few streets from the family's home, police received a call at around 11:30 on Friday night reporting the presence of a suspicious suitcase. According to police, a device was used to place the numerals 1 and 0 on the body of the slain youngster, as per New York Post.

Paris Kidnapping Details

The girl's mother reported her missing after she didn't come home from school, and she was later located outside a building of apartments in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. The police announced that they had launched a murder inquiry and discovered evidence of a kidnapping in the family home's basement.

Investigators looked at surveillance video that showed a woman exiting the premises while toting luggage. According to authorities, the girl's body was later found in the same suitcase at Rue d'Hautpoul, a few streets away. According to reports, the schoolgirl had multiple slashes to her throat, her mouth was taped up, and her feet and fists were bound. On Saturday, a post-mortem investigation was planned, Independent reported.

At 3:20 p.m., disturbing footage of the small child in a white suit strolling behind a young woman wearing a green hooded top and light-colored pants shows her holding her school backpack. The defendant, accused of concealing a 12-year-old girl's body in a bag, is then said to have been observed buying a croissant as if nothing had occurred.

A neighborhood witness claimed that he had seen the woman, who is currently being detained by police, strolling around with a large suitcase two hours after the female suspect and Lola were caught on CCTV entering the young girl's building.

6 Suspects Arrested, Including Woman

According to the surveillance footage, the young child entered her building but never made it home. On the mother Delphine's Facebook page, the family then made a public plea for assistance in locating their missing daughter, who the parents described as a cheerful blonde girl with shoulder-length hair.

They noted that Lola was sporting white trousers, a white hooded sweater, and a gray bag. The female suspect, who has only been given the age of 24, reportedly begged them for assistance later on as she struggled to carry a suitcase to a nearby car.

A body was purportedly found in a suitcase on rue d'Hautpoul, behind the structure where the young girl had vanished, at around 11:30 p.m., according to a homeless man who called the police. In the third basement of the girl's building on rue Manin, where basement sellotape and a box cutter were discovered, the public prosecutor's office reported signs of a struggle.

On Saturday around two in the morning, the 12-year-parents old's were informed of her passing. The public prosecutor's office reported that six people have now been detained in connection with the incident, including the woman who was reportedly having trouble carrying her bag and the homeless guy who called the police.
