Russian kamikaze drones pounded the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, killing at least one person, according to authorities.
Andriy Yermak, chief of staff to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, described the latest Russian drone attack as an act of "desperation," acording to BBC.
The mayor of the port city of Mykolaiv claimed that Russia Kamikaze Drones were responsible for setting fire to sunflower oil storage tanks.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on Telegram that a deceased woman's body was found in the ruins of a home in the Shevchenkivskyi area after an explosion brought on by a drone assault. Rescue workers are still trying to find those missing.
The nation's capital was targeted by Russian missiles during rush hour a week ago, with 19 people losing their lives. According to a Ukrainian air force officer, all of the drones entered the nation from the south.
Hours before the attack in Kyiv, on Sunday night, Mayor Oleksandr Senkevich claimed that three drones had set fire to the tanks in the port city of Mykolaiv.
Senkevich claims Russian drone assaults on the city happened Monday morning. He added that the buzzing of this slow-moving weaponry is becoming normal to Ukrainian ears in the Russia Ukraine war.
Target of Drones Unclear
Gunfire echoed throughout the city as anti-aircraft guns made desperate attempts to bring them down. Social media video showed an interception.
Monday's explosions started around 6:30 local time (03:30 GMT). The last one occurred around 8:10 am. Two of these occurred close to the city's central business district, prompting widespread automobile alarms and sirens.
President Zelensky condemned the assaults, which he called an attempt to "terrorize the civilian population," but he remained confident that the nation could withstand them, per Al Jazeera. It's unclear what is the aim of the Russian drones. It has been reported that both homes and businesses have been damaged.
Railway authorities report hearing and seeing explosions near the Kyiv Central Station.

A Reuters reporter said they located parts of an attacking drone with the words "For Belgorod" on them.
Russia's government claims Ukraine fired missiles toward the city of Belgorod, located on its border with the country. Ukraine denied Moscow's accussation.
US Condemns Latest Russian Drone Attacks on Ukraine
On Twitter, the United States Embassy in Ukraine has denounced this morning's suicidal drone assaults on Kyiv, saying that the latest attack of Russia Kamikaze Drones on civilians is "desperate and despicable." The US said that it will stand with Ukrainians "for as long as it takes."
In the wake of a flurry of deadly drone strikes on the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy blasted Russia for terrorizing the civilian population of his country using "kamikaze drones and rockets."
On Monday, Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, claimed that since Sunday night, the country had destroyed 37 Russian drones, or between 85 and 86 percent of the number involved in the strikes, as per a CNBC report.
At a press conference, Ihnat remarked that the outcome of the air defense efforts is "quite nice" and that the number of destroyed Russia Kamikaze Drones will rise in the future.
He said that all of the drones had entered Ukraine from the south.
President Zelensky asked the Group of Seven nations for additional anti-aircraft defense systems against continued Russian drone attacks during their assembly last week.
