At trial on Wednesday, Waukesha prosecutors showed pictures of the red Ford Escape SUV that Darrell Brooks Jr. is accused of ramming into a crowd of spectators during the Christmas parade attack last year.

Images depict victims' clothing wedged between the crushed hood and windshield, bullet holes where police attempted to end the attack, and horrifying dents where the car is said to have slammed into parade spectators.

Waukesha Christmas Parade Attack Trial

Six counts of first-degree intentional homicide are among the many allegations against Brooks being tried in this case. According to the prosecution, Brooks allegedly took his car on a Main Street rampage and drove through the city's Christmas parade last year, just west of Milwaukee, as per Fox News.

During his second expulsion from the courtroom during his murder trial, Waukesha parade killer Darrel Brooks was punished for interfering with the cross-examination of his defense witness, who his SUV launched up to 20 feet into the air.

Tuesday, before being ejected from the courtroom in front of the jury, Brooks called Juan Marquez as a witness. When Marquez was struck by Brooks' SUV and flung about 20 feet in the air while participating in the parade with the Catholic Communities of Waukesha, he broke his leg.

Marquez acknowledged under questioning that he did not see the car that hit him and was asked about his police testimony in which he claimed that the car was not the red one that Brooks was driving. Brooks repeatedly accused Marquez of judicial misconduct during their cross-examination, and Waukesha County Circuit Judge Jennifer Dorow cautioned her to behave properly or she would be expelled.

According to a transcript given by FOX6, Ryan Schultz, a mechanical inspector with the Wisconsin State Patrol, testified that despite the car's considerable damage, neither the brakes nor the tires had any issues that would have precluded a driver from stopping the SUV.

The Waukesha, Wisconsin, annual parade was taking place when Brooks, a Milwaukee resident, allegedly purposefully drove his car through police barriers and into the spectators. Waukesha has located about 15 miles west of downtown Milwaukee. After allegedly confronting his fiancée outside of a motel just before the parade, Brooks charged into the crowd.

Afterward, the police claim Brooks ran over his girlfriend with his SUV and left tire prints all over her body before going back and hitting her in the face, Daily Mail reported.

Jury Plays Video Evidence Against Suspect Darrell Brooks

Recently, the prosecution made public a previously unseen video of suspect Darrell Brooks' arrest in Waukesha in November 2021. A crucial witness also described to the jury how he allowed Brooks inside his house shortly after the parade attack on the eleventh day of the trial.

In addition, the prosecution reportedly played a video showing Brooks requesting to be allowed inside the home right after the assault. Daniel Rider, a resident of Waukesha, stated, "I simply tend to believe people, and I'm from a little town, and we had folks that needed help all the time. So I let him come inside and warm up."

Brooks hasn't used the first person and has been speaking for himself since the previous week. The 40-year-old suddenly changed his mind after pleading not guilty due to insanity, according to Meaww.

Six counts of first-degree intentional homicide are among the 76 accusations the defendant, Darrell Brooks, faces after allegedly driving through the Waukesha Christmas Parade on November 21, 2021. Over 50 witnesses were questioned by the state in the last ten days.

Judge Jennifer Dorow expelled him from court several times for disrupting proceedings to drag out the proceedings. Brooks is accused of first-degree deliberate homicide, among other offenses for killing six people. Jackson Sparks, 8, Tamara Durand, 52, Jane Kulich, 52, Leanna "Lee" Owen, 71, Virginia Sorenson, 79, and Wilhelm Hospel, 81 were among the fatalities, as per CBS58.
