In New Delhi, a leopard mauls and gores a 1.5-year-old girl when she and her mother are going to a local temple. The death occurred in Goregaon, with the identified victim, Eitikha Akhilesh Lot, who a wild leopard attacked.

Sources say that the young girl was on the way to the local temple with her mother when she was attacked and killed by the beast close to her home. The vicious animal took the toddler in the early morning of Monday, October 24, noted Indian Express.
Details reveal that the unfortunate killing occurred at 6:30 am in the Aarey colony of Goregaon district, Maharashtra. The child was taken to the hospital, but her injuries were fatal, dead-on-arrival, reported Zee News.
Based on the Forest Department team said the suspect animal that killed the girl was caught and transferred to the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali. It is called an Accidental Death Report with a probe looking into how it happened.

Authorities report attempting to determine, track, and contain the beast that attacked the young girl. It was spotted at 11:30 am passing Aarey Road close to the medical center, only a mile farther, said a forest department employee.
In 2017, the director of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, G Mallikarjuna, spoke to the media and said it was the first killing from 2017 when a leopard killed a young boy in the area. The victim is a son of a forest department staffer, slain in the Film City.
The Director added they consider the animal responsible for the fatal attack a young female, citing the Hindustan Times.
To check on the activity of the animals in the area, forestry officials installed 12 camera traps have been placed. Also, to prevent more attacks and killings, there are two cages to trap the animals.
He added for safety reasons that, locals keep their children indoors at night, now with the Diwali and their lighting firecrackers is dangerous to do,
