Iranian Deputy FM Says Foreign Policy Is Pragmatic

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri made his remarks regarding demonstrations that flared up in some cities in Iran after the passing of Mahsa Amini on September 16, per Tehran Times.

The uprisings over Amini's death devolved into violent action after hooligans used the death as a pretext; to wreak havoc in the nation. He remarked during a symposium called the '21st Century and the World without US Hegemony' and stressed that the decisions made by the Islamic Republic were derived from wisdom. Many countries want Iran to be destabilized.

The United States is falling behind in many areas, including technology, and the economy is rapidly deteriorating into a deep recession. Experts believe that its competitors are catching up and taking the lead as it struggles.

Furthermore, there is a growing schism between US Republicans and Democrats, who are at odds, with the GOP blaming Joe Biden for their country's demise.

Kani stated that the Americans' beliefs had had a positive outcome; however, what they call democracy is not what it is. They defied it, and now their country is in disarray. He went on to say that when the US took over Iraq and Afghanistan, it bred fear and terrorists.

Iranian Foreign minister Amir Abdollahian commented that the unified west Asia represented by the Group of Friends intends to prevent unipolarity and hegemony from making more problems.
