During today's walkabout in York, a man was stopped by police after he seemed to throw eggs at the King and Queen Consort.

Four eggs were thrown at King Charles Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla while they were being greeted by city officials; all of them missed, and the couple was then escorted away.

King Charles 'Unfazed' by Egg Thrower

As the eggs flew in his way, the monarch continued shaking hands with a member of the public, pausing momentarily to inspect the shattered shells on the ground. At Micklegate Bar, a historic entrance and site of important occasions, a lone demonstrator was heard saying, "This country was established on the blood of slaves," as six police officers dragged him to the ground.

People in the audience began yelling at the man, "God save the King" and "shame on you." The man was later placed in the back of a police vehicle by two uniformed policemen while being taken away in handcuffs and with his legs restrained, as per Mirror.

Numerous engagements are being held when King Charles III and Camilla are in Yorkshire. They were in York to dedicate the first statue of Queen Elizabeth II to be constructed since her passing. King Charles III resumed the customary procedure in which the Lord Mayor publicly welcomed the monarch to the city of York while police were arresting the man.

The King, a well-known environmentalist, was observed watching the eggs fly by as he spoke with locals while on a trip with Queen Camilla. One egg landed on the road close to the King even though all of them missed him. His Majesty made a little twitch before turning towards the egg and stoically continued.

The man is seen putting his tongue out in several pictures as he is being dragged away. The protester previously participated in significant Extinction Rebellion demonstrations and was frequently detained, The Sun reported.

He was one of four persons in a purported peace tent in Trafalgar Square in 2019. And after taking part in demonstrations that shut down the printing presses for newspapers, he was found guilty of obstructing a roadway last year. He was also captured on camera last year getting ejected from a community center where he was camped out.

The Crown Airs King Charles III, Queen Camille Love Affair

Intimate elements of the couple's protracted love affair in the 1990s have been dramatized in the most recent season of 'The Crown,' but King Charles III and Queen Camilla put on a brave front for a series of royal engagements in Yorkshire on Wednesday.

The release of the fifth season of the popular Netflix drama, which has recently sparked a contentious debate in Britain with A-list celebrities like Dame Judi Dench and former prime minister Sir John Major denouncing the show and calling for disclaimers to be placed before each episode notifying viewers that the events depicted are not entirely factual, coincided with the royals' visit to the city of York.

Per Newsweek via MSN, the new season is mostly concerned with how Queen Elizabeth II and her family survived the difficult 1990s. The devastating fire at Windsor Castle, Charles and Princess Diana's formal divorce, and Diana's shocking BBC Panorama interview were all part of it.

The "tampongate" controversy, in which the prince joked about becoming Parker Bowles' sanitary product so he could "dwell within her," was secretly taped and sold to tabloids in 1992, is perhaps the most embarrassing development for Charles and Camilla today.

The king and queen showed no indications of worry as they entered York's fortified city on Wednesday and made their way to Micklegate Bar, the customary welcome location for monarchs.
