One current employee and a recently fired employee who is in contact with former coworkers on Twitter claim that Elon Musk visited with a few high-ranking staff on Thursday to try to persuade them to stay amid the trending topic of RIP Twitter.
According to two individuals, the business also informed workers that it would close its offices and restrict badge access until Monday. According to one insider, security personnel started ejecting several employees from one office on Thursday night.
Over 500 staff members posted farewell messages on Twitter's internal chat feature on Thursday, per a source familiar with the notes. Which made social media users ask: Is Twitter Shutting Down?
Elon Musk Not Bothered
Although employee resignations at the microblogging platform were increasing as a result of Musk's ultimatum urging workers to adhere to "hardcore" labor, Twitter's new owner indicated today he was unconcerned.

Twitter Undergoing Unpleasant Changes
While his efforts to restructure Twitter have been plagued by instability and delays, he has already fired half of the company's 7,500 employees, abandoned a work-from-home policy, and instituted lengthy hours.
Bogus accounts and pranks have plagued the platform, and large advertisers have fled because of his inept attempts to improve user verification with a contentious membership service cost.
To announce their departure from the company, employees have begun tweeting using the hashtag #LoveWhereYouWorked and a saluting emoji.
There will probably be less than 2,000 individuals remaining after the dust settles today, a former Twitter employee who chose to remain anonymous, according to a report from BBC.
Sources also mentioned that Twitter had dismissed their entire team.
