Kanye West Twitter: Rapper Leaves Ambiguous Tweet, Causes Rampant Speculation Over Meaning

"June Eighteen". With one simple two-word tweet Kanye West created a media firestorm trying to figure out what the Chicago-born musician is trying to tell us.

The Daily Mail has brainstormed many ideas as to what the date could possibly mean. It could be referring to the due date for Kim Kardashian and West's child. Kardashian mentioned on "The Today Show" that the baby was due in July, it's unlikely that the due date has been moved up.

Possibly it's the starting date of a tour. It could be the release date for West's long-awaited new album "Cruel Summer". Albums are traditionally released on Tuesdays and June 18 is a Tuesday, which lends a bit more than just speculation to the album theory.

While all of those could be possible, the Daily Mail reports the most likely explanation is that June 18 is when West will debut the fashion line that he has been working on in Paris with design partner Katie Eary.

The British newspaper feels it's way too much of a coincidence if West was referring to something else on the same day that his design partner is scheduled to show at London Fashion Week's Menswear viewing.

West's tweet seems to carry an extra bit of significance since it is the only tweet on his account. According to The Daily Mail, West abandoned his Twitter account in October of last year, his return to Twitter alone would have been enough to get his 9 million followers excited. Now those followers are confused as to what exactly West is trying to tell the world with his two-word tweet.

The Los Angeles Times reported the message was retweeted over 10,000 times within the first hour.

"June Eighteen." What does it mean?

So much speculation, so little answers. So far West has been silent about the meaning of the tweet, thus leaving his fans yearning for any sort of hint as to what it could possibly mean.

One thing is certain, the tweet has gotten people talking about West and eagerly anticipating June 18, even if they aren't aware of why they're doing so.
