Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky chastised Kyiv officials over the inaccurate reports about emergency shelters that were judged unacceptable. Gave more criticisms on authorities who have not handled makeshift stations for civilians after Russian missiles destroyed energy infrastructure.
Zelensky Slams Kyiv Officials' False Claims
Zelensky proclaimed in a video address last Friday that about 4,000 reputed invincibility centers were already established nationwide, giving access to warmth, water, first aid, and the web, reported the Daily Telegraph.
Nevertheless, he said that just a handful of these shelters in Kyiv had been adequately equipped, as around 600,000 families remained without power in the capital.
The Ukrainian leader stated that he expected better from the mayor. Nobody will ever pardon the sham with the invincibility centers in Kyiv. Demanded more seriousness; it goes for the untruths in news stories at different levels about emergency shelters.
Although the president did not clarify his issues, Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said that on Friday, more than 400 heating stations were already set up in schools and other locations, noted VOA News.
The current Ukrainian regime has not seen eye to eye with Klitschko, an ally of the former president, Pyotr Poroshenko. In 2019, lawmakers in the capital asked that the mayor be removed, but he was left in place and went on to win a mayoral election. According to the media, the Ukrainian president reportedly had plans to remove the elected official in 2021.
Russia Damages Infrastructure Including Emergency Shelters
Due to its attack on the Smerch Bridge in Crimea, which Zelensky sanctioned, Russian forces have added additional strikes to paralyze Ukraine's energy sources, including thermal power plants and power lines.
Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, did not pardon Ukraine for attacking Russia's territory with a pinpoint attack after crossing the line, which has caused the nation to acknowledge a serious error in judgment.
The attack on Crimes that resulted in civilian casualties has the Ukrainian leader and Kyiv officials in an uproar. Moscow, however, claimed that they used highly precise weapons to attack military targets.
Moscow Won't Label Ukraine a Terrorist Entity
According to Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov last Friday, when he spoke to media outlets, they will not call the Ukrainian regime the leader of a terrorist state, citing RT.
He added the country, acting as a western proxy, has broken international law with unbelievable gall that is deplorable. Moscow explained that it denies calling a nation terrorist, reflecting the flawed doctrine that Washington and its allies ascribed to.
He referred to this abusive doctrine as state terrorism, a tool used by the US and other purportedly democratic western countries to control national affairs. As they take away the right to self-governance from nations that oppose them, it violates the UN Charter they claim to uphold.
Syromolotov remarked that even though they violate the principle of sovereign equality, they get away. The high-ranking diplomat emphasized that such unilateral sanctions have always been deemed unacceptable by Russia. He defined terrorism as a criminal act caused by one person, and the west claims nations are accountable, which is incorrect. Calling Ukraine a terrorist state is wrong and 'illegal,' as is Russia.
Volodymyr Zelensky is displeased as Kyiv officials have fewer emergency shelters than claimed, and citizens are getting dissatisfied with his leadership.
