Donald Trump persisted in his election denial and promotion of conspiracy theories on Saturday by calling for the dissolution of the US Constitution to reverse the 2020 election and reinstall him to office.

Former President Donald Trump posted on his social network, Truth Social, "Do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION?"

The Republican leader argued that the "massive" election sham "allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution," adding that America's Founders "would not tolerate" such irregularities.

Donald Trump also accused "Big Tech" of collaborating with the members of the Democrat Party, according to a CNN report.

Twitter Files Connection

Trump's statement was made after the disclosure of internal Twitter communications showing a discussion in 2020 over a New York Post article about information discovered on Hunter Biden's laptop.

Matt Taibbi, a writer, sent a series of tweets headlined "THE TWITTER FILES" on a Friday evening, claiming that they included explosive new information concerning the platform's commitment to free expression.

Taibbi's tweets have been criticized as overhyped and deceptive, while conservatives argue they indicate Twitter affected the 2016 presidential election.

Supposedly leaked conversations addressed choices about content moderation, especially how Twitter would respond to an article in the New York Post detailing the shady contents of a laptop said to belong to Hunter Biden, according to a Huff Post report published by Yahoo! News.

Emails regarding his position as an advisor to the Ukrainian oil corporation Burisma were among the materials on the laptop, which also included graphic images of Joe Biden's kid and his amorous relationships.

Many intelligence analysts at the time were skeptical of the story's veracity due to the potential for foreign deception in the run-up to a historic election.

Over 50 ex-intelligence officers have written an open letter saying the laptop narrative gives off the impression of a "Russian information operation."

Tech companies do not want to make the same mistakes that got them in trouble for letting fake news spread freely on popular social media sites during the 2016 presidential campaign.

White House Slams Donald Trump's Statement

On Saturday, the White House issued a statement to Axios in which it strongly rebuked Trump for his comments.

According to House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates, "The American Constitution is a sacrosanct document that for over 200 years has guaranteed that freedom and the rule of law prevail in our great country. The Constitution brings the American people together - regardless of party - and elected leaders swear to uphold it."

He further noted that the US Constitution is a fitting memorial to the many Americans who gave their lives to topple corrupt dictators who squandered their authority and violated basic liberties. Hence, any kind of attack on the Constitution and all it stands for is a direct assault on the very fabric of the United States of America and should be strongly rejected by everyone.

"You cannot only love America when you win," the White House stated.

It has been a month since Trump declared his third run for the US presidency, and he is still generally seen as the head of the Republican Party. After poor midterm outcomes, party officials thought the former POTUS would stop election denialism.
