The initial production of a Su-57 Felon Squadron being built at the Komsomolsk on Amur Plant was the prototype, and the aerospace firm developed the final version. A total of ten of the planes are the test airframes to come up with the final and ultimate version.

The First Su-57 Felon Squadron

Nevertheless, experts believe, as well as the general director of AUK, Mr. Yuri Slyusar, that by 2025 Russia has at about one squadron of Su-57s, reported Bulgaria Military.

Where will all these planes fly first? Starting in 2021, the first shipment will be in use in the Western Military District. The Su-57 Komsomolsk on the Amur plant is home to the remaining six, although they are placed near the area.

In the Dzomgi region, where the facility is located, the 23rd regiment operates. The military unit is made up of the elite ground and air forces.

23rd Regiment is no unfortunate incident. It is possible to say that this military unit is disadvantaged; they were the first to fly the first Su-27 Flanker, and Su-35 Flanker-E years ago, same goes for the initial Su-57 Felon Squadron.

Its pilots became the first to be sent into combat during the war with Ukraine. They performed some exercises and were billeted in Belarus before the conflict. These were the troops who launched a strike on Ukraine from Belarusian jurisdiction.

Advance Training Program: Su-57 Felon Squadron

The flight crews of the 23rd regiment are now being received training under the program for next-generation fighters, the Russian sources replied.

Every one of them conducts their instruction at the 4th State Center for Training and Military Evaluation of Air Force Personnel in Lipetsk. The exercises correlate to established Russian air tactics practices, the references said.

Pilots of the 23rd regiment, according to EurAsian Times, are being trained under the program for next-generation fighters, the Russian sources said.

The 23rd enjoys an exceptionally high status among Russia's Air and Space Forces [VKS]. The upper echelon unit is just so top secret among all the other regiments of the Russian VKS that the 23rd is seen as the rationale for why Su-57 manufacturing has been delayed for months, per Air Force Technology.

As shown in the claims, the test pilots of the military unit assessed the functionality of the airplane according to their opinions; it was amended over the years, which also led to disruptions in the final version and its sequential production.

Based on the most recent Russian sources close to the situation, the 23rd Aviation Military Unit would probably represent the very first squadron of Su-57M fighters, the next upgrade to the basic Su-57.

It is predicted to happen in 2025-2026, at which point the fighters used by the elite unit will be dispersed to Russia's numerous aerospace and military units.

The formation of the initial Su-57 Felon Squadron that is now at the Komsomolsk on Amur Plant is just the beginning when the M-variant comes.
