The Kremlin has not considered the UN Resolution on Reparations to pay for what has been wrought by the conflict brought on by the west as legally null and void. Russia's claim that demands payment for the damages is seen as a non-issue, citing that the UN serves US interests.

Kremlin Calls UN Resolution as Another Move Against It

Last Wednesday, Russia called the resolution by the UN General Assembly asking for damages on Behalf of Kyiv unacceptable and trashed it, reported Republic World.

The action by the UNGA got the wrath of Moscow, who had thoughts on the resolution as another one pushed by the allies using the body.

On Wednesday, the Russian president's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov called out the west illegal attempt to rob it of its international reserves to pay for reparations to Ukraine and why the resolution exists. It is a veiled attempt by the US and its allies to legalize highway robbery and has the impact of destroying acknowledged private property rules and international law in the reports, noted Saudi Gazette.

The UN resolution wants that Russian accept that it is legally liable for all its wrongful acts and it must pay for all the damage caused by it.

UN Resolution on Reparations a Blight on Its Legitimacy

The international organization has mandated that all of its members establish a global registry to record any evidence and claims of harm done to Ukraine by Russia, as seen in the UN Resolution on Reparations.

The decision to hold the Kremlin fully accountable for breaking international law by invading Ukraine has been authorized by the UN General Assembly since last November.

This UN decision wants to create a measure to legalize an inter mechanism for all the damage, and injury due to Moscow's special operation in Ukraine, citing AP News.

It was put on the UN floor and for the 193-member world body and received 94-14 votes with 73 abstentions; to highlight another move against Russia. But the body is dealing with a powerful country, so it cannot brush it aside, to the dismay of Washington.

When the vote was initiated in the UNGA, Kyiv's UN Ambassador Sergiy Kyslytsya rattled off Russia's attacks. The decision is needed to seize the Russian funds so the damage caused by not settling the differences can be fixed.

The Kievan ambassador to the UN claims the west should force Moscow to pay for all its crimes. Zelensky should talk if he's got the political will against his backers, per AA.

Continuation of the Ukraine conflict will make tensions worse as Moscow and Kiev won't ceasefire, said Dmitry Peskov last Thursday. He added all it takes is former Volodymyr Zelensky to show some political backbone to start negotiations.

He added that Russia would, in the meantime, not take more than the territories they have in Ukraine. It takes the Ukrainian president to end it now.

Furthermore, no more communication on the issue has been forwarded, and there is more work for the Russian armed forces to free regions from Kiev's clutches.

The Kremlin wants peace, but the UN Resolution on Reparations puts a damper; like Zelensky's attitude, which is reflected by the UN that is allegedly partial to the west.
