The father of one of the four University of Idaho students who were killed characterized the victims' bodies as having "huge open gouges" from the "sadistic man" who killed them, branding the local police, who kept their mouths shut, as "cowards."

According to Steven Goncalves, whose daughter Kaylee was one of the kids killed in Moscow, Idaho, coroner Cathy Mabbutt shared the horrifying information to her during their conversation.

Father of 1 Idaho Murders Victim Calls Moscow Police 'Cowards'

In the early hours of November 13, Kaylee, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, were all fatally injured. The older Goncalves said that although his daughter and Mogen were slain while in bed together in their off-campus house, their injuries were "not even close to matching."

The coroner reportedly informed Goncalves that Kernodle, who was in a bed on a different floor of the house with her partner Chapin when they died, had defensive wounds and waged "a hell of a struggle" to try to survive.

Police have acknowledged that the victims were stabbed to death but have not yet named a suspect or even disclosed the killer's identity. Additionally, they claimed that the attack was "targeted," but they didn't really explain what they meant by that.

In his appearance with Fox News on Sunday, the father continued to criticize the police, claiming that they should make more information available to the public. Police have argued that they can't reveal additional details in order to preserve the integrity of the investigation, but this has sparked alarm in the community.

Authorities have issued a warning to the public that the murderer could retaliate, as per NY Post. The police's assertion that the assault was targeted was interpreted by former Moscow Police Captain Paul Kwaitkowski as indicating that the victim knew the assailant.

The four students were discovered murdered in their beds on November 13 in an off-campus residence in Moscow, Idaho. There have been no suspects identified or arrests made. If the killer who stabbed four kids to death in their beds isn't found, there would be a "snowballing disaster," a state politician from Idaho has warned.

Ilana Rubel, the minority leader in the Idaho House and a Democrat who represents sections of Boise, said on Tuesday that the University of Idaho would experience "collapsing enrollment" if the matter isn't resolved quickly.

The white 2011-2013 Hyundai Elantra was spotted near the King Road residence in the early hours of November 13, according to a statement released by Moscow Police on Wednesday. Investigators are asking anybody with information to come forward.

According to authorities, it might be the final "piece of the puzzle." Police reported over the weekend that since then, tips concerning the automobile have flowed in and that owing to the volume, calls have been routed to an FBI facility.

Officials stated on Saturday that they are still attempting to talk with the passengers and asking for anyone with information regarding the car, The Independent reported.
