The man accused of assaulting comedian Dave Chappelle earlier this year when he performed at the Hollywood Bowl pleaded not guilty to two felonies. According to authorities, he was sentenced to 270 days in the county prison on Wednesday.
Isaiah Lee pled no guilty to misdemeanor violence and accessing a prohibited location during a live event.
Dave Chappelle Attacker Sentenced
Ian Thompson, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office, stated that the defense submitted a request for judicial diversion, a program that, if properly completed, would result in the dismissal of the defendant's case, CNN reported.
According to him, prosecutors fought the application, and the judge finally refused it. Thompson stated that the weapon in the case, described by prosecutors as a fake pistol with a knife blade, would be destroyed.
Lee is further charged with attempted murder for an altogether different event. According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, he is suspected of stabbing his roommate during an argument in December at a transitional housing unit. When he appeared in May to face the attempted murder charges, Lee pled not guilty.
Isaiah Lee, who jumped the stage during Chappelle's performance at the 'Netflix Is a Joke' festival in Los Angeles on May 3 and assaulted the comedian, has pleaded no contest to violence and entering a restricted area during a live event, according to an email sent to USA TODAY on Thursday.
Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department told USA TODAY security officers at the Hollywood Bowl, where the festival was held, detained Lee after the incident, and police later arrested him.
During the confrontation, Lee also pointed an imitation handgun containing a knife blade at Chappelle, leading to an assault with a dangerous weapon charge. An email stated, "the firearm in the case would be destroyed."
Authorities said that Lee was brought to the hospital with minor injuries, while Chappelle was not wounded. Following his arrest, the assailant was detained on a $30,000 bail.

Chappelle's Performance at Netflix Festival
Attendee Ahmed Ali told USA TODAY that Dave Chappelle's performance was "crazy." According to Ali, Lee went onstage when Chappelle was presenting the rap group Black Star, composed of Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli.
Chappelle reportedly remarked after the attack that the perpetrator "was a trans dude," a reference to the outrage he experienced for his controversial comments about the transgender population in his Netflix special" 'The Closer.'
Ali reported that when Dave Chappelle came to the stage, he addressed the audience, stating that it was the first time in his long career that he had jumped someone backstage.
In May, Chappelle, 48, was knocked to the ground at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles when a guy in a black hoodie stormed the stage, according to PEOPLE. The attacker, subsequently identified by authorities as Lee, attempted to run but was stopped by security officers and Chappelle's staff.
Chris Rock, who had performed earlier that evening, was among the individuals who rushed to Chappelle's aid after the incident. A witness said to PEOPLE that Jamie Foxx also stepped onto the stage and "got embroiled in the brawl."
Lee was allegedly carrying a "replica handgun-slash-knife," a felony. However, on May 5, a Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office spokesperson told PEOPLE that the office "has referred the case to the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office for consideration of misdemeanor filing."
Several hours after the case was referred, Mike Feuer, the city attorney of Los Angeles, announced further charges against Lee. "The suspect was reportedly carrying a weapon," Feuer added of the "replica handgun and knife."
